Oh, I have a headache. Not because of the flu, mind you. I'm back in Jakarta and remember I said once that my house is being torn down? Well, we're staying at my aunt's house now. It's in the same neighbourhood, different is my aunt's house is HUGE and uninspiring. Anyway, my aunt's family is currently in Hong Kong, celebrating Christmas there or shopping til they drop - whatever. And the maids have gone home for Hari Raya, so it's just my parents and I in here. I was given my cousin's room to stay in, with a lovely big TV with cable! I am happy to have over 40 channels at my disposal, of course. BUT I had the hardest time trying to connect to the Net just now. I spent more than 2 hours hunting cables and plugs, lugging my laptop and cables and modems and all my peripheral devices with me, moving rooms, whining to my father, nearly getting myself electrocuted and nearly setting the security alarm system haywire. I hate this house. Whoever designed it obviously never thought of the possibility of someone needing 100 electrical appliances plugged at the same time and within reaching distance. Not to mention the fancy telephone line system with multiple numbers, lines, intercoms and whatever gadgets. I'm sitting on a cushion my dog has been slobbering on for the past month in a dim ventilation-less living room being bitten by mosquitoes every second. Now, excuse me, I'll move back to my bedroom and see whether I can connect from there. And whoops, I promised some people I'll give them a call.

clt : Yaida Hitomi's Candlize album

Ack. I, being my usual sloppy and careless self, forgot to bring my good friend Anne's (who's a class mate and is currently at home in Bangkok) phone number to Bangkok with me. And now she's like, "I'm super-pissed with you for not calling me, okay?????!!!!" Ouch. I feel so bad. And she's telling me how she was expecting me to go on a shopping spree with her so much and having dinner with her family and all. Ack. Ack. Ack. I have to to make it up to her somehow :(

Which reminds me.... I am missing my Indonesian immigration card, which will probably mean I will need to bribe those petty immigration officers at the airport so they would let me go through without further hassle (as if bribing them is not enough hassle, but thus is the sorry state of Indonesian officials). I better go look for it now and hope I'll find it lying among my bills. *whacks self for being careless again*

Bangkok was SO not fun. Sorry to burst your bubbles, J. It was hot, dusty, and I got hit with a very nasty flu since Day One. Without enough rest, the flu dragged on until now. I felt awful and looked awful, the dry air-conned air hurt my nose, my ears were depressurized (or pressurized, whatever...), I had an all-day headache that couldn't be cured with paracetamols, the light hurt my eyes, I kept coughing, my throat hurt, and all I wanted was to go back to my hall room. And so here I am, back in Singapore, in my super messy hall room. Never thought I'd miss this place so much ^_^x Amazingly, I instantly feel better here. I still have runny nose, blurred vision, and coughs. But the headache's gone (momentarily, perhaps, but in any case, yay.) I'm going back home to Jakarta tomorrow, though. Need to unpack my luggage and repack it again. *sigh* I just don't have the strength right now.

I didn't buy anything much in Bangkok. Picked up a couple baubles for presents at the Loft, which is a Japan-origin store specializing in gifts, trinkets, crafts, etc. Everytime I think of "Loft" I always think of it as "Loft Shibuya", where it is located in Tokyo. LOL. On Day Three, after a long afternoon nap, I felt healthy enough to brave the rat maze of Siam Square, which is an area famous for shopping, especially among young people. But I didn't find anything that caught my eyes. Cheap clothes abound, but the real good things still don't come cheap. Most of my time were spent tagging behind my mother who was on a mission to find the perfect clothes for my cousins's wedding @.@ (sometimes she was on a mission to find a certain kind of food, as well @.@)

Kenchan, hey, you finally got your own domain! =D I think I remember this domain name being suggested when we were discussing on that joint domain plan... was it you who suggested it too? You're not using your old phone number then? Ah, I'll email you with my phone number later.
Ira-nee, Anne-nee nya lagi keluar kota nih... hmm... mungkin nanti kalo dia udah balik? ^_^

Urm, yeah, will BBS more tomorrow from Jakarta. I won't be online very often, I think. With 56K modem and dial-up connection and all... so it means I will be replying my emails more often LOL. So email me, people!

SELENE
nyah? nyah? nyah??? pocky?

Selene is a 20-year-old Indonesian living in Singapore. Currently a 2nd year Business Admin student in NUS. Lives in the oldest & coziest hall on campus: single room with a jungle view (Bio students who wish to collect 500 species of invertebrates can stop by my room at night). Functions with a Sony VAIO, a Nokia8250, plenty of water, coffee, bubble tea, and music. Loves anime and manga, books, and desserts XD Can be found lurking in the manga section of Kinokuniya every Sunday around 1 pm+ Look for girl with bulky turquoise-green backpack. At hometown Jakarta this holiday, catch her in Jakarta's shopping malls: TA, PS, Sogo PI, or in Mega Mall buying her afternoon bubble tea or snack and mangas (since she lives 1 minute away by car...)

Her sites are: ko/lekt/if^ (collective + personal), Zero Stance (Rurouni Kenshin), Summer Moon (Amakusa 1637), IASC (clique), and Peach Tea (layout archive). Email her here or just leave your comments in the guestbook.
Past archives of the log are here.

David Tao's Zhao Zhi Ji
It's a very very nice song! This song was used for the dancers' mass dance at Dance Night in March. 'Twas a very fun dance with umbrellas, couple dance and all ^^; His Chinese is rather weird, but then people told me because he's an American-Chinese, he has his own slang ^^x
Harlem Yu's Qin Fei De Yi
dunno what the title means, but it's Meteor Garden's OP. Nice song. Not really my type, but does get catchy after 20 episodes XD
Tara MacLean's Settling
angsty song :P part of the Meteor Garden's OST too - sorry lah, haven't been getting any new mp3 lately except this OST hahaha....
extra: MSN Messenger
my favourite chat program XD XD get it now! only 1.6 MB, I think. even smaller than those mp3s up there. so shouldn't be problem for a certain someone.
