Cosplay was fun hehehe.. Who won, BTW? I left around 3 pm.. In case anyone's wondering, I didn't cosplay. I was er.. helping the one and only Gundam there. Yup, that's me doing maintainance on him every one minute or so >.< The guy is Clive, a hall mate of mine and the guy above the guy above me in the.. err.. complicated organization which the Anime Club is part of. I got to the place early because everyone told me they'd come at 11 and then when I got there no one had arrived so I ended up helping Clive with this Gundam suit pieces, along with this other girl who is Clive's sister/friend/girlfriend/??. I overheard the Miyuki people calling us "the two Gundam technician girls" because we had to help him putting it on piece by piece and then the thing just kept falling apart every one minute before he took it down entirely to fix everything. He was quite a hit, though.. maybe that's because he was the only mecha around. And I was, "Yes, yes, excuse me, please, we're taking a picture here. And you! Give way for the Gundam, please! Clive, watch the easel on your right! Where are you going? You! Want to take picture with him? Hold on a sec. Clive, lift your arm! The backpack is falling apart again. Pose, Clive, pose!! They're taking pictures!" So if you sorta remember a girl in jeans and white top with green backpack and specs walking around, that'd be me.

I saw Toshi and had a short chat with her. Her Kijin custome is fabulous! I didn't see anyone else.... (of course, I didn't -know- what everyone else look like!) I did see Raydance because Toshi told me who she is ^^ She has a very pretty Uruha costume! This year there was a lot of Final Fantasy costumes! And Angel Sanctuary! All those wings.... 0.o Cedric really sparked the trend last year huh? Oh, and -he- didn't come because he couldn't really get his costume done... 0.o A lot of people pulled out at the last minute too, so I heard. The Jin-roh was good. The FFX's Zidane was also very good, everything tailor-made 0.o Then the half-naked guy with lots of red-tapes... some character from Soul Calibur, I heard, he was pretty eye-catching. RK's Enishi was not bad, either. Oh, there was also someone in Hogwarts uniform, complete with the broomstick... When I left Channel 8 was setting up their camera hehehe... should see the news on TV soon.

And there has -got- to be a limit on the number of "kawaii!"s and "kakkoii!"s one can utter in a day >.< Really, being an anime watcher doesn't mean those words need to be said within every single breath. Not to mention the badly mispronounced "sumimasen" and the awkward "chotto matte". Erk.

And Ocean's Eleven is one cool movie. Everyone should watch it! XD XD XD

I talked on the phone with my friend Pie from high school's senior class last night. She lives in Chicago now and I phoned her for 1.5 hr. At 4 AM. Gyah. I had to dunk myself in Starbuck's mocha this morning (Starbucks coffee still sucks, but the caffeine is just nice.) We did a lot of catching up because I haven't talked to her in over 1 year! *gasp* And she was my best friend during my senior year! Awww, I missed her so much. We had the same taste in almost everything, hung around in the same circle of people although different cliques, got invited to the same parties, was into the same things, and we always had a rowdy gossip session hahaha... and yeah, she used to sit in the chair in front of me for almost an entire year, 8 hours a day, so we're pretty close. Life in US for her hasn't been as easy as it is here for me. Poor Pie :( I should call her more often.

I'm leaving tomorrow for Bangkok. Not really thrilled. Been browsing travel books to find out what exactly I can do there apart from shopping and eating and apparently there was none...... I'll probably try to stop to one or two temples or whatever. The last time I was in Bangkok was, like, 9 years ago? I can't remember anything much about it and as I recall, I was more interested in the hotel's swimming pool than the city itself. Will be back in a few days before heading to Jakarta the day after. So this is my last blog entry until then.

As-chan, Pei-yi, thanks for signing the guestbook!
Anne-nee thanks for signing the guestbook too! Ke Surabaya dll ngapain? Liburan keluarga? ;) Have fun yah. I'll call you when I get to Jakarta (but you might still be out of town, huh?)
Catherine, heh, should've told me you were going for the cosplay!
Steph, 5-6 years? 0.o I'll probably go next holiday or in 1 1/2 year, after graduation. My friend Icha went to Taiwan last year and she's been trying to sell the idea to me and I must say it sounds interesting. I think Javanese sounds okay... I have some Surabayan friends here.. and of course, my maids back home speak Javanese too.. so I'm used to hearing it, although I still don't understand it fully.
Christin, hey nice new layout! My blog link is wrong, BTW... ^^; Thanks for the warm welcome, dear. I'm happy to be joining the Green Tea Drinkers XD XD
Garion, ARRGGHH!! You went for Cosplay too? Damn. Should've told me so I know which one was you hehehe XD (I should try flashing my Nokia8250 around maybe? LOL)
Hosy, thanks for signing the guestbook too. And you're an F4 & MG fan? Muahahaha.. One more person to blab with. Whoo. And, oh well, maybe we'll meet on next year's cosplay.
Angela, have fun in Russia & North Europe, girl. You are so lucky ^^
Ira-nee tgl 20 tuh nyampe di Jakarta ^^

Happy Hari Raya / Idul Fitri for the Muslims. Please accept my sincere apologies. Mohon maaf lahir batin =D

Meanwhile, I have a noon flight tomorrow - meeting my parents at the airport. Need to pack and clean my room.... *sigh* See you all in a few days!

Cosplay is tomorrow... I, um, probably hang around in the morning outside to take a look at the cosplayers. Probably won't pay and go in, though =P People who are going, um.. I'll probably be hanging around a RK's Megumi or a YamiEi's err.. Kijin (I think my friend is cosplaying as Kijin, too, like Toshi) or err... -the- bishounen OR some Angel Sanctuary's character. (I can't remember what my friends are cosplaying as!) Probably I'll be a photographer like last year since I'm not cosplaying. Bottom line is, I'll be with the NUS Anime Club crowd lah. Say hi, please! XD

Another phone conversation with my mother. Ho-hum. Surprising news: a cousin of mine is getting married next February. The entire family clearly disapproves of it, including my cousin's own parents, but apparently she is dead set upon it. Apparently the guy, whom I've never seen, comes from a poor family and makes a meager living from playing music in church services. An honorable vocation, but my cousin comes from a well-to-do family who is used to luxury all her life so everyone's thinking she won't be happy with the marriage. My cousin is also a very beautiful girl who has had many better suitors in the past, so they're lamenting the fact that she's marrying this guy instead. But since she's so determined (she even left home at one point to prove her determination), they let her have her own way anyway. I sorta gather there's a lot of commotion and uproar back home. Regular family entertainment. As for me, I have never even seen the guy nor am I close to my cousin so who am I to comment? I'm just hoping that she'll be happy with the marriage anyway. Unlike my female cousins, young and old, I pretty much stay clear of the gossip sessions. I always end up listening anyway (it's pretty difficult not to listen when you're sitting in the same table or car) but I never bother to contribute an opinion. I wanted to go back to attend the ceremony, but seeing it just a week before Chinese New Year it might mean me missing class for two whole weeks. Needless to say, mother says no, especially since the wedding is not a big affair. I think there are two more of my cousins are getting married next year too. I've never been a bride's maid my whole life and am still harboring an ambition to do that LOL. (The bridesmaids are traditionally close relatives of the groom or the bride, rather than close friends. It's just my luck that no close relatives of mine have gotten married.) Although I probably wouldn't like all the fuss, the preparation, the high-heels, the makeup, the ceremony, and all that. Actually I don't enjoy weddings much, particularly since I never know the bride nor the groom personally (or the guests!). I'm just there for the food. I always end up with a plateful of fine desserts, sitting in the garden, talking to my friends on my cell phone while eating. Like I always say, large parties bore me. Why do people keep having them anyway? 0.o Such a waste of money. Oh, maybe everyone is just there for the food like me, as well.

People, visit kolektif and sign the guestbook, yo!

Huaaaahhh... finished changing all the links and putting up MOVED signs. New location, name and layout at ko/lekt/if^ Check out the personal page too ^_^x the layouts are supposed to form a series with this layout. The domain is still pretty quirky, though. Still gives an error message sometimes. IASC is at its new location too. The guestbook has been moved to rn.org too. Yay to Tin-sama and Christin! *glomps* Oh, and Summer Moon is inaccessible due to seiryuuNU being down.....

Now... time for shower (I'm still in my sleeping gown... ^^) and er.. *grumbling stomach* going out to find something to eat.

Just a lil bit past midnight but I'm already very sleepy. Today's been tiring. I'd whine about my day, but nah... I whine and grumble too much ^_^x 'Tis a bad habit. I'm just too much of a spoiled brat, I think. LOL. Just gonna do a quick BBS-ing...

Pei-yi, yes, cosplay must pay one, you know! *singlish* And this year is so ex! I didn't know non-cosplayers must pre-reg to pay a cheaper rate... so I didn't. Must pay $9 now on that day. Go, lah! It's once a year anyway.
Catherine, go too? XD It's an experience, really.
Anne-nee, KE JOGJA????? Gak bilang2... *pouts*

Thinking of getting my own domain soon. Lemme submit the proposal to my parents first... I think they probably will agree, since it doesn't cost very much. The cost doesn't exactly fall into the "Must Ask Parents First for Permission" category. But since they'll be handling the payment and stuff, at least I should tell them else they'll blow my head off when receiving the bill. My credit card bills are mailed to my parents' in Jakarta, regardless where I use it. Which makes Selene going on a trip minus parents very dangerous.... Ohohohoho... *fox ears* But I rarely use my credit card in daily life. I do make a huge dent in my savings account though *sweatdrop* How am I going to break the news to my parents?! ("Err, Mom, Dad, you know the money in the bank? The one meant to last me until I graduate? Well, err.., it's kinda.. err... sorta... gone? So, uh, I'll probably need, err... more money?" *insert self-defense blabbing at full speed here*) I've been shopping too much again. (Actually I've been shopping too much ALL the time.) ARRRRGHHHH. I am going to be in trouble *wince* I'll probably get a long lecture, but still, I don't like being lectured (who does?) >.<

Christin of Green-tea.nu has agreed to host IASC! Will be moving soon. Thankies, Christin dear. I love the domain name because I'm an avid green tea drinker myself and I'm happy to be part of it now. I've been visiting the pages hosted on it too and they're all remarkable! Go visit this great domain now! XD XD XD Speaking of hosting, Lia of idle.nu has offered to host my log as well so as soon as we get our act together (LOL!), I'll be moving there and running on GM. Yay.

On another note, red-negative.org (VR.com's replacement) will be up and running soon too, so Tin-sama says............. FTP's working but the address is still not working. But anyway, we'll see you all there soon! XD XD

Concerning F4's album Liu Xing Yu (do I get that right? damn my pinyin!), people told me the ones who can sing are Vanness and Ken but after 193746563th repeat of the album, I think they all can sing quite well. It's not Jerry's fault he sings the not-so-nice songs. LOL. (Although I did heard they're very bad when performing live.) I hate their Liu Xing Yu song, though. Too slow for my taste. But I really like Ken's and Vic's voice. And is it just me or the piano intro of "Wo Shi Zhen De Zhen De Hen Ai Ni" is a rip-off of Queen's Love of My Life?

Steph, when are you going to go to China? Maybe I can enroll in the same program? ^_^ Kabe ngeri? Javanese, eh? (Selene's Javanese knowledge is ... almost zilch LOL) On HYD, well, artwork is definitely lousy. But in Meteor Garden, they cheated with Doumyouji's hair!!! In the first 10 episodes, his hair is all standing up (yeah, exactly like a pineapple) but then after that they let it fall down (making him look WAY better heh heh heh...) Oh and I've watched HikaGo the anime ep 1-4. Typical shounen sports series, with a supernatural twist. Interesting.
Pei-yi, you're back! *glomps* Eheh.. read my HYD/MG comment up there. I like Shaman King too! Anna is cool, yes? Was considering on cosplaying as Anna, seeing how easy her costume is, but then.. I'm lazy. So, fine, I'll pay a lousy $9 as a non-cosplayer to go inside. Are you going for cosplay, BTW? Please go? XD XD
April has gone missing too.... dokoooooo?
Catherine, Charlene, going for cosplay? I know Toshi is definitely going ^_^ Looking forward to see everyone! I think one of my Anime club comm member is in the YamiEi cosplayer group and the other is in the RK cosplayer group. And let's not forget last year's bishounen Lucifer who's definitely going to be there *whistle innocently*
Kee those adorable bunnies are gone! *wail* WHY????? BTW, I like Shu Shu the dog too. It appeared in... episode 6? 7? Can't remember. I think all animals in OP are adorable heh heh heh...

Lord of the Rings is premiering in Singapore on Dec 20. The day I go back to Indonesia >.< And it probably won't play in Indonesia until another month or so, which is by the time I'll be back in Singapore and hopefully it'll still be playing on cinemas here. Last holiday I missed watching Moulin Rouge on the big screen because of this shuffling back and forth between two countries (three, if you add my Japan trip into the mix).

Hmm.. do pasta and Indian curry go together? *making instant dinner*

clt : -still- F4... they've been on my playlist for the whole day! this is probably the 1836251541th repeat.

Just got off the phone with my mother. There is a part of our conversation that got me thinking about my future plans. Nothing big, just my holiday plans. See, people here are very ... how to say, work-minded? Most people work every holiday for one or two month. Almost all Singaporean girls have experienced working life during the more-than-half-a-year break from end of JC to start of university. I have never worked in my entire life. I have been meaning to give it a try in one of my future holidays but, minus the period between graduation to getting a job or continuing school, I only have 2 more holidays and too many things I want to do, too many places to go. Honestly I think I won't be experiencing permanent working life anytime soon. I'm hoping I can push off my 3 year bond in Singapore to some indefinite time in the future. I think I'll be in school for quite a while. Maybe I'll do a part-time job thing once in a while. We'll see how things go. But I realize there is no hurry to start working soon, as opposed to what almost everyone I know here think. Luckyly my parents seem to sorta think so, too (which means they don't mind me financially-depending on them for several years more in the future hohohohoho ^^) I think once I start working permanently, I won't have time to do anything anymore. So might as well enjoy my life when I can. Oh and the thing my mother and I talked about? After much resisting in the past, I finally agree to let her send me to China for a month to study Chinese in one of my holidays, probably in May. (I've been trying to convince her to let me go to Japan instead but then, I've started feeling I want to learn Chinese too.) Now how am I going to fit US (to visit my brother and friends), Australia (to visit my relatives), and Japan (to err... buy mangas?) in my holiday plans? For a person who never bother to plan one day ahead, I certainly am putting a lot of thought into my holiday plans LOL

But really, it's 1 1/2 year more until I graduate. That's just -three- semesters away. And it feels like I just started a month ago. But in fact, exactly 1 1/2 year has passed too. I wonder whether I can get an offer to do Honours so I can stay one more year hehehehe... but with my lousy Business grades, probably not.

And the highlight of my conversation with my mother would probably be the part where she told to study Japanese instead of being in front of the computer the whole time after I told her the deal with next semester's Jap class. First time she actually told me to study Jap. She has never been very enthusiastic about me learning it LOL And um, yeah, she also heaped lots of reminders for Things to Do This Week (because she knows how poor her daughter's memory is). Please, Brain. Remember!!

clt: various F4 songs

Somehow, it seems like everyone is feeling blue and depressed. It's understandable, though. I guess nearing Christmas and New Year, things just get depressing, especially when we think of the year's past events. All the bad memories just keep coming up and the good ones somehow managed to disappear into the background. The mall is always jammed packed with shoppers, Christmas cheery tune that sickens you is everywere, the gold/silver/red/green decoration hurts your eyes.... But well, it's Christmas ("Tis the season to be jolly" and all that...). It sounds cliche, but there -is- a real meaning behind the day. So, guys, cheer up soon =D Have hope. Because the Light is here in this world, and where there is Light, darkness shall not exist.

My room mate has gone home and I'm back into being the sole owner of my single room but now it feels rather spacey and vacant LOL I have one week to get my things done here. Still need to bring my laptop for a check-up. *frown* Suddenly so many things to do within one week. The procrastinator I am.... I still feel tired today. My legs are still hurting me (so are my arms and neck!) so I'll just be spending the whole day in my room. Goro goro suru, so the Japanese say. (Insert a picture of Selene in Super-Deformed animation form rolling around the room with the "gorogoro" sound effect.) Will be finishing up some of my layouts today, I think ^^

Yin, YAY! I've added you to my contact list, BTW. And you sure you don't want to use the Hotmail email? It's very convinient.. MSN will tell you when you receive a new email etc etc and all you need to do is click and don't have to login anymore.
J, I know I owe you an email! I'm being lazy... whack me, please. But Yin owes me an email too!!!!! >.>
Elyse, welcome back. I'm sorry about the recent death. I'm sure he's in a much better place now :) I hope you have an enjoyable Christmas, although it's probably very lonesome. You may feel alone, but you are -not- alone =D
(Selene's dishing out cliche phrases. Whoo. Hazukashii.)
Kenchan, come back soon.
Nee-chan, where are youuu? ;__;

Oro. A cursory search on our local neighbourhood search engine on F4 brought over 300 hits from mp3s, pics, MTV clips to lyrics. We hall people are so deprived of normal entertaiment devices LOL We rely solely on our computer for all-round entertainment instead. So, anyway, I decided to copy the mp3s anyway, remembering how my Anime Club girls said it's "listenable". Well, I'm listening to them now, and it's not as bad as I suspected. I can't tell their voices apart though. Ho-hum. At this rate, I could probably be a F4 fangirl. (If I'm not already one. Msg me tomorrow morning when I wake up and I'll give you an answer ^^) But then again I'm a pop listener primarily so boybands found their way to my ears sooner or later. Except that annoying Backstreet Boys. (Are they dead now, BTW?)

Tuning in earlier than usual today coz I'm very tired after today's Christmas celebration, having performed Handel's Hallelujah chorus -three- times with probably a dozen times practice before that. I don't have my high school choir girl stamina anymore, you see. (Yeah, those were the days where I fell sick once a month routinely due to exhaustion, but at least I lasted 3 1/2 weeks with maximum energy LOL) My legs are stiff now from too much standing up in painful shoes. Ouch. And my room mate going's back to Indonesia tomorrow morning with an early 8 am flight so I'm getting up at 6.30 to see her off.

BTW, to those who know, I can sing Meteor Garden's ending theme! It's a Chinese song so I'm only er... humming it. Yeah. Ehehehe. It's a nice song, though. Will upload it soon.

Nite. *yawn*

I like coffee joints. And I'm super addicted to coffee so besides Kinokuniya, you'd probably be able to spot me in various coffee joints. Starbucks has been my favourite lately, although I hate the coffee there. But good thing about Starbucks is that it's not crowded at all. Muahaha. So I can just sit there and study or read for a couple hours. I like Coffee Bean, but I hate their decor and it's always crowded - where ever it is located. I also love Kino's Coffee Club Express and I used to study there all the time, until they put up a sign saying "Please do not study in here" ^_^; I like Coffee Club Express' coffee. We have Coffee Club Express here on campus at Arts Faculty and when I was taking my Philo lecture, it was just outside the lecture theatre so I'm a regular customer. The guy even recognizes me and knows my favourite drink.

But then sometimes I drink bubble tea instead XD XD XD All beverage joints here in Singapore seem to have this customer card thing. You know, the card they'll put a chop on whenever you buy one drink and after 10 drinks you can redeeem the card for one free drink? I have so many cards in my wallet. But I have to say it's a good marketing strategy. Whenever I want to buy a drink, I always go the the place whose card I already have, not really for the free drink I'll eventually get, but simply because I don't want to clutter my wallet even further >.< But I think Starbucks is not very keen on it, they never give me a card :P Or probably because the notion is outlandish for them. They do dish out such cards, so the sign near the cashier says, but they never give me one. Hmph. Coffee Club Express here on campus doesn't give cards either, probably because they know Arts student buy at least a drink a day (especially those who goes to class in the vicinity) so imagine how many free drinks they have to give per week! LOL. There's also a Spinelli at Science faculty but I rarely go to Science since it's on the other end of the campus from my faculty. There's also a Dome at the University Cultural Center, newly opened, but who goes to UCC when there's no performances? 0.o I wish we have a coffee joint in BizAd. BizAd-ers are coffee addcits too who spend hours doing projects while drinking coffee almost every day in the faculty and we're stuck with lousy canteen coffee. Ergh.

I'm on a coffee high, if you notice XD XD

yin, heh heh I'm glad you bought the mangas! Maybe you can just point it out to me from Michiyo Akaishi's page?
Steph, I think Jap is harder than Chinese! Except for the pronounciation part, probably. Oh, and I think I have a huge crush on the guy who played Doumyouji in the drama now LOL
Kee, I think I even dreamt of your weird rabbit creatures! I seem to remember something like them hopping in front of my eyes, presumably hurrying off to a tea party.....
Ira-nee, musti cari beasiswa dong? ^_^ Kalo gak, kata temen gua yang udah di sono sih, begitu udah di sono / mulai sekolah, kesempatan beasiswa itu banyak. BTW, Ritsumeikan itu familiar sekali deh, kayaknya sering denger.. Oh, belajar Chinese mah kapan2 aja deh.. konsen di Jepang dulu.
Catherine, my Chinese dictionary puts it under "Yuan" though, but you're right, I have seen it written as "Yan" but I kinda like "Yuan" better. "Yan" always reminds me of yam. LOL. And I hate yams.
J, you bought me a present? *shriek* THANK YOU! *glomps* I love you~~~~ (It's very easy to make me happy LOL). Anyway, it's okay to give it to your friend. Saves the postal fee too LOL I have some friends in NTU too... but then it'd be easy to get it from your friend, since Singapore is so small (although NTU people always claim their campus is practically at the very end of civilization).
Toshi, tasty new layout! Yuuuuuuummmmmm~~
Heh, Mads has a new layout too! So cute. Is it from a Christmas card, BTW? It looks very familiar.
Emily, I didn't know Okashi na Okashi has its own merchandises! Wow. I love the Engrish slogan thing ^_^x Oh oh! I love the Got Wings things and the mug designs. I want a Strange Candy mug!! Coolies. Do you get all the profit, BTW?

Tomorrow's my church Christmas celebration~~ Hopefully the choir can sing well heh heh heh.

I sometimes wish I don't have to divide my life between two countries. There is so many things I want to do here and there and I simply can't be in two places at the same time. That kinda sucks. Oh well. I've been feeling very bored today... nothing much happened... went out for dinner with my room mate, that was all. (I didn't actually eat. My dinner consisted of a couple sticks of fried goodies, a strip of dry pork, and a cup of honey milk tea with pearl.) Finished up a few books. Stared at the ceiling most of the time. Or stoned in front of the TV or computer. Watched several anime episodes, though. Still B.O.R.E.D though...

I've been noticing the Mandarin name tool thing going around ^^ It gave me the name Sun Jianning. Sounds credible. But I already have my own Chinese, given by my mother. I kinda like my name. My mother reportedly got it from some "divine inspiration". (I think I wrote an entry on that once.) Although, it's not a name that has a certain character meaning. It's a bird, and I'm really not sure what that bird symbolizes. Should check up on that. My brother has an almost similar name, we share the same first two characters but HIS last character is even weirder than mine. Not an animal, but a piece of wood >.< Has to do with this name Feng Shui thing, perhaps. The same goes with my father, HIS given name has a grand total of -five- wood radical (–Ĝjbecause when he was born, they said they needed wood elements for good luck. Now that I think of it, no one in my family has an abstract-meaning name (things like "beauty", "trust", "intelligence" and so on). We're all nature objects. My father's a forest (a very big one, from all that wood radical that keeps coming up), my mother's a flower, my brother's a WOOD (I think it's supposed to be TWO logs of wood or something), and I'm a bird. Whee. We could be a national park on our own. And BTW, my surname is the biggest surname with over 100 million people having it in China -alone- Among online friends whose names I know, I share the same surname with Cammy and Jen (We were bored one night in IRC and started talking about our names ^^)

[[ Addendum : I went off to search and found that my name (Yuan), which means the bird swallow represents : daring, danger, and a good turn of fortune. Lucy says it fits me so well -_- LOL I'm thinking it fits Huanzugege's Xiaoyuanze better, though ^_^ ]]

I need to set up my Greymatter. Hrn..... *goes off to read fanfics instead*

I think I need to learn Chinese again... hmmm.... I did, when I was in kindergarden, with a private tutor. I was already tackling 5th grade textbooks then and because I quit, I don't remember most of it now. Maybe after I'm satisfied with my Japanese skill... I'll turn my attention on Chinese then. But I'm so bad in pronounciation >.< I'm so tone-deaf xP But I can proudly say at least I can order food in Chinese (which actually involves more pointing than talking ^^)

F2S is discontinuing their free webhosting service on Feb 28, 2002. ARGGHH! I need to move ZS then. Hosting, anyone????!!!! *turns to Nee-chan* How about that domain plan huh? Kok gak ada kelanjutannya? Nee-chan kayaknya lagi agak2... distracted? ^^;

And.... like Tin-sama's birthday, I didn't have a party either on my birthday (rather obvious from my entry, ne?). I've never been a fan of parties, probably because when I was in primary school, my parents dilligently threw one for me every year. Parties bore me (well, except for the food). I went to 17th birthday parties almost every weekend in high school and those large parties held at grand hotels which cost million and millions (sometimes for the birthday girl's dress alone) were truly boring. My only source of entertainment was the dressing up part LOL I miss that. I did enjoy private dinner parties, though. It would just be the close circle of friends and lots of good food and talking in a cozy, snazzy place. Anyway, birthday for me is just a day where nothing bad should happen and for me to just enjoy the day ^_^

Steph, yeah, I think so too!! Who's the guy you're talking about, BTW? Anyway, I'm feeling the end-of-series depression now. What am I going to watch and obsess on now?? :( And Kenchan!, watch Meteor Garden!!! XD XD To be truth, I like Doumyouji (although if I knew a guy like him in real life, I'd so hate him). But the drama Rui is so perfect! He's exactly like manga/anime Rui. He has that other-worldly air. And yes, I think he's everyone's favourite LOL *remembering yesterday's fangirls gossip session* Kenchan, congrats for getting into BiNus. And BBS is not my TM!! It was originally Tin's! LOL. Have I really been using that acronym so often? *sweatdrops*

Pei-yi, 'tis okay! Thank you. I had a great day, really.
Angela, welcome back. I left a note in your GB yesterday.
Ira-nee, wah emang rencana mau sekolah di Jepang yah? Sugoi!
Mia, thank you for the well-wishes. Let's meet if we can! XD
Kee, I just found out about the wrong link! So sorry! I've been wondering why I've been getting error messages whenever I wanted to access your blog. Cute layout, BTW. Cute err... creatures? ^^;

I have to rush a doorgift design for the hall production today, but I'm so lazy :P

Why am I not surprised to see my Anime Club comm members are F4 fangirls? *sigh* We had a club meeting this morning, just the 6 of us (the heads, chairperson, etc); four of us being females so when I mentioned casually that I had been watching HYD and was in the middle of watching Meteor Garden... well, you know....... ^_^;; After Club discussion has ended, the guys left and so it was just us girls ranting on and on. I can proudly say I know the actors' real name now ^^ Usually I refer to them using the character Jap name. I think we sat at McDonald's for more than 2 hours. Then we packed up and went for lunch (McD's was breakfast hahaha..) and went to Kino. My Amakusa 2 hasn't arrived yeeeeeeeettttttt *pouts* And oh yeah, I finished Meteor Garden just now. I like the drama ending better than the anime one. At least it does not seemed as forced and abrupt as the anime ending. And I like the OST, BTW. There's this one song that I keep singing, Tara McLean's Settling. It's also been used in a Dawson's Creek episode. It practically screams "Gimme an angsty Dawson's Creek episode!!!" Then again the music people of DC has good taste, most of the time. They even have a special detailed page for all the songs used in the series.

*blows nose* I sense a flu coming because of my 5 am bedtime and lack of sleep.

Damn, I typed one long entry and pitas ate it. ARRRGGHHHH. The Back button doesn't work either.

Here we go again.... keeping things shorter and organizing my ramblings. Thank you to those who have congratulated me. Some are really unexpected, truly. So I'm officially 20 with a capital 2. Half of my links list are so much younger than me! >.< But I never bothered with my age, anyway. People tell me I look (and act) younger than my age. [Is that an insult, BTW?] And I always /almost/ say "16" whenever people ask how old I am. I slept at 5 am this morning. Was woken up at 9 by a phone call from Daddy Tosh -_- I was still sleeping when I picked up the phone, I had no idea who it was. I went back to sleep only to be waken up by another phone call at 10. My parents. I grudgingly woke up at 10.30 because I had another banner session at 11. Then I went out the whole day! Yay. Watched Monsters, Inc. Very cute. Better than Harry Potter, I think. BTW, the Harry Potter Vanity Fair photo spread can be found here, link courtesy of Kara. I like Dumbledore's, Ron's and the Quidditch team, of course.

Here I go with my BBS again... (time to put my speed-typing into good use now....)
Yin, thanks for the card! BBS is actually a term Tin-sama used in her pitas days. I sorta caught it. LOL. Originally an acronym for Bulletin Board System, I think. And btw, J is a leap-year baby.
Catherine, yes, dear, it is my birthday today.
Steph, you know, you might be right. After all, I -did- gushed on and on about the show to my friend today ^_^x
Emily, happy belated birthday!
Reins, I share birthdays with Muraki? I don't like that at all!! Muraki disgusts me. LOL.
Hikaru, no, you're not wrong! LOL. Thank you ^^
Garion, I'm still using the default cover too. I have a coppery-red/orangey one but it clashes with the blue light. But I might use it anyway, seeing so many people owns the same phone around here...
Mika, nice new layout! The white background certainly has a wintery, snowy feel.
Daimira, I like your new layout too. Reminds me of my Sailor Moon fangirl days. That sounds like a long time ago.... ^_^x
Ah, I like all these new layouts. I'm a trifle late, aren't I?

clt: Meteor Garden OST

I spent the first 2 1/2 hours of my birthday painting banners. I've been painting banners the whole day (I did get a 2 hour lunch break and a 4 1/2 hour dinner break, though). I'm super tired now and I still need to finish up the banners tomorrow morning @.@ No, not whining nor complaining. Just feeling very tired and having some muscle aches from sitting on the rough stone floor and leaning on my left side. I met my friend Vanda for dinner... going back and fro campus and city is tiring too.

Bed. Bed. Bed.

PS : The first few people who called me on the stroke of midnight were -really- unexpected, but it was a pleasant surprise. Wuv you.

1. My Finance sec gave up from trying to reason with me last night. He gave me one last "........." then signed off. This morning I met him in person and he was still wondering why I want to resign, then he said, "Personal reasons, huh?" So I just said "Something like that..." And I think he has admitted the fact that I'm not changing my mind.

2. Saw the Advanced Japanese II class lecturer just now. Had my oral interview. Turned out I -barely- passed my placement test, 57% marks only. She asked me things about my education and went through the test paper with me. I told her I've learned most of it, I just didn't prepare for the test and forgot a lot of things. My reading comprehension is okay, my grammar is average, my vocabulary is impressive (I told her I read mangas ^^), and my kanji is a complete disaster (I can read, but I can't write). LOL. She is very worried I might not be able to cope with the load of work in the class. 2 long compositions per semester, kanji test every week, homeworks everyday, 7 hours of class a week. And I'm not even majoring in Jap studies, I still have my own BizAd classes. She's also worried that since I barely passed the test, I might not be able to catch up. She gave me homeworks instead. Homeworks. In my holiday. From the entire textbook of Advanced Jap I. To be submitted in early January @.@ I have one month to catch up with one semester of material?? But then again, I've learned most of them. I just don't remember them during the test heh heh heh... Anyway, she seems like a very nice teacher. I really want to take the class now, since she's letting me pass the test. I hope my schedule cooperates. Please, BizAd, don't let me hate you even more. Before I left, the sensei told me she actually had prepared a listening tape for me to try out but then she said I seemed to be understanding her quite well (I told her I watch anime hahaha...) so she asked me whether I want to hear it or not. I told her I'm too tired after JLPT 2 so no thank you hahahaha :P

Will BBS later...... I still have 5 piece of 4.4 x 1 m banners to paint. I wonder whether I can meet my friend Vanda for dinner... she was my classmate in 2nd year of senior high school who then left to study in Australia. She's in town for a short holiday now... gehh... please, let the banners be finished by then. And my room mate has left. To Orchard. Life is unfair :P Oops, my chairperson's gonna kill me for being late now.....

David Tao's Zhao Zhi Ji
It's a very very nice song! This song was used for the dancers' mass dance at Dance Night in March. 'Twas a very fun dance with umbrellas, couple dance and all ^^; His Chinese is rather weird, but then people told me because he's an American-Chinese, he has his own slang ^^x
Harlem Yu's Qin Fei De Yi
dunno what the title means, but it's Meteor Garden's OP. Nice song. Not really my type, but does get catchy after 20 episodes XD
Tara MacLean's Settling
angsty song :P part of the Meteor Garden's OST too - sorry lah, haven't been getting any new mp3 lately except this OST hahaha....
extra: MSN Messenger
my favourite chat program XD XD get it now! only 1.6 MB, I think. even smaller than those mp3s up there. so shouldn't be problem for a certain someone.
