I ended up chatting a lot tonight (only Farmies still approach me when my ICQ is on DND ^^) and working on ZS. I saved one file over another and so I had to write the previous one all over again. Pler <-- catching Noo's language again. Noo is getting well. Yay!

Anne, that stupid name games gives the same answer to every name =D The layout is scaryyyyyyyyyy~~~~! But I got bored of Towa anyway so.... XD
Sister Laura, I was wondering the same thing this afternoon. Who, I wonder, would choose Red? We should wait and see!
Mia, take care there in my ever-turbulent-topsy-turvy-messy home country! Stay at home and start hoarding canned food and instant noodles! LOL J/K! Utada Hikaru definitely rules over Ayumi =D Ayumi's just popular among *koff, koff* teenage boys. Her voice is annoying too. And I keep getting confused with her remixes, best albums, greatest hits albums and all those marketing ploys to make people buy more (sadly, it works). My friends usually buy J-pop albums at Citraland. There's a shop there which sells lots of imported CDs. Then again, I live on that other side of the city ^^ *koff* There are also lots of hentai VCD sellers there *koff* But I swear, I never dabbled in it, it's just my best friends are... well... ecchis >.<

selene is strangely too genki on Tuesday, May 1, 2001, 12:08 a.m.

EXAMS ARE OVER!!!!! *pats myself in the back* I'm so proud of you Selene, you studied more than you did last sem! But somehow I don't think the results will be better. Never mind. ANYWAY, since my 3-month holiday starts today.... I'm going to do tons of stuff tonight, starting from these anime CDs lying around in my room unwatched. Or this layout idea that's dancing around inside my skull.

Fel, I miss Australia. I can't get a decent fish and chips here. I want fresh Australian fish & chips!!! Ooh, I'm chatting with my lil cousin who goes to school here as well and he just said "Are you going with us to Perth in June?" Wai! Nobody asked me!! -.-
Nee-chan, you're in Jakarta, ma... can have all the Indonesian food you want anytime, unlike us *lapsing into Singlish*
WAI! Another IASC member, Kenchan has a pitas now. Thanks for linking me! An IPEKA high-er, huh? *thinks* I think one of my cousins goes to school there too. He should be around your age. His name is Jason, do you know him? If you do, don't mention Selene to him, please, that's not my real name XD I myself was an SMUK 1-er (Once a Smukie, always a Smukie *sings Smukie anthem : "SMUK 1 lah cinta kamiiii.. SMUK 1 lah tempat kamiiiii...."* that songs sucks actually, but it keeps coming back to my mind at odd times that I find myself singing it >.<)

Today is Maruzen's last open day so I went down to see whether there's still anything left. It was almost completely bare after 10 days of sale and the only thing I could snatch was Michiyo Akaishi's Towa Kamoshirenai 7 & 8. Now I have to find vol 1-6 hahahaha... Shoot, I have so many series I have to complete now *looks at her mostly incomplete manga collection*. I found Silent Eye 1 & 4 at Kino, but they're so expensive, compared to Maru's price =P Maybe I really will stop buying mangas from now on. This morning I saw Mary's log, which has a Fruits Basket layout *yum* And I saw on Hana to Yume 9 cover that the anime will be out this summer. Weee--! Sarah, are you reading????!!!!! Where are you anyway... ;_;

*goes off to add new links*

selene on day 1 of 3-month holiday on Monday, April 30, 2001, 07:59 p.m.

[[ clt : Vandread's OST ]]

Heh, Elyse and Felisha were talking about Indonesian food, while *points at the entry down there somewhere* I was saying I missed food from home. I don't really like traditional Indonesian food myself. Various animal insides gross me and I hate spicy food (this is the point where people will widened their eyes at me and say "I thought all Indonesians like spicy food!"). But I like those "kaki lima" stuff, which are the kind of food you can buy by the side of the street off a pushable cart or a makeshift tent. "Kaki lima" itself literally means "five-footed", referring to the seller's two feet, the cart's two wheels, and the cart's one wooden foot it rests upon when it's stopping. Yaw, I have a craving for gorengan, which means "fried" and refers to everything that's, well, fried >.< Stuff like fried tofu, fried tempe, fried sweet potato, fried cassava, fried banana.... They're terribly bad for the throat and I tend to get a sore throat immediately after eating them, but I love them anyway *salivating* I feel like eating ropang too now. Ack, I wanna go home!!!!!!!

Hikaru, hee sorry for not being around when you called me. I was at my friend's room studying.
Sister Laura, thanks for your comment on the new layout at Sora. It was originally for something else, then I decided to use it for Sora instead and it doesn't look very good >.< I'll be changing it again next week, I guess.

K8 is still not well yet from her tonsilitis *worried* Get well soon, Noo darling!! I hope your illness won't get any serious or worse than this. And Schumacher YAY! Hehehe...................... Myah, Susan has moved her blog. Which is good, since Digitalrice.com is always down and (I heard) so is Blogger.

Oh wow. Indonesia emerged as group winner for the first World Cup 2002 qualifying round. There is SOME hope, after all.

Anyway, I'm going to bed for a few hours before I start studying again. Do wish me luck on my Finance exam. I have to pass. I have to pass. I have to pass. *chanting*

selene needs to pass Finance badly on Monday, April 30, 2001, 01:15 a.m.

*purrs happily* Everyone can call me Selene Sedai now, all thanks to Laura Sedai and her new Aes Sedai Ajah clique. People who read WoT, join us and we'll harassed (^^;) Rand (and all other taverens) together. See me wield saidar! *lost in her own fantasy* I'm a Green Ajah, so I can very well blast anyone to the other side of the world and have several bishounens for my warders *makes a list of all warder-potential bishounens*

Nee-chan, thank you so much for the song list XD I have something to call the songs now! My favourites are Bike and Bells for Her. Oh and I'm okay, thanks for the concern =D

selene sedai turned Rand into a frog on Sunday, April 29, 2001, 12:24 a.m.

I feel crappy. I had a series of bad things happening to me since last week and things are not looking up at all, thanks to the prospect of failing Finance *deep breath* 3 more days, 3 more days.....

Long overdued BBS (I'm too lazy with e-mails so.... ^^;):
Anne, the concert sounds soooo fun! I wish I could see it. NPC's newest album is called Uno Indonesia? *blink* That sounds bad. LOL. It sounds like a bad marketing ploy to me. But as long as the songs in it are as good as always, then I guess it's ok. NPC's mp3? I don't know where to d/l it. I have one here, just Quello Che Vuoi, though. I got it from my friend. I found Arjuna OST 1 mp3s on someone's computer and I've been listening to it. It's Yoko Kanno, yes? and Maaya Sakamoto? Is there a website about it (either about the anime or the soundtrack)? The file IDs are in Jap and my Winamp can't read it so I don't know the titles of the song >.< I want lyrics, too! =)
Hikaru, thanks so much =D Did you watch the trailers, BTW? I love watching trailers, more than the movie itself ^^ I like to get myself all hyped up about a movie before I actually watch it LOL
Laura, I haven't replied your message yet because I've been err... sorta busy. That idea was just an idea. I don't really feel like doing it, but it did sound like a good idea so I told you about it. Maybe you might want to do it someday? *grin* Hey you forgot the Yellow Ajah! They're the healers, right? And I don't think the purple one exists. I better start thinking which Ajah I want to be in right now =D
Noeru, I still need to reply your e-mail. And Jessica's. Ack.
Yin, when you're back online and the layout's uploaded, SMS me immediately!!!!!! I insist!
Tin-sama finds her old fics!!! I've read most of them, but I don't mind reading them again =D Ne, You're not continuing the HanaKimi fic? =( But I'd really love to see where it goes. WAA~~~HH! Or, at least, write another HanaKimi? Maybe a super WAFFY, one-shot? Come to think of it, I never found any other HanaKimi fanfics... I should look for them later.
Daine, that's a rather strict principle. Worried to run into perverts and psychos online? They all live in chat rooms, so I heard. LOL. Anyway, it's okay with me. I hope I can still talk to you through my log, if you DO check it out. No problem with the scans, I'll scan them and send them over sometime next week. There aren't many, anyway.

Study. Yes.

selene wants to watch the newly borrowed Vandread cds (but she can't) on Saturday, April 28, 2001, 12:35 p.m.

Just now I had one of my awful stomach cramps again. And mine is usually so bad I can't do anything except to lie on the bed waiting for it to go away, shivering and bearing the pain all the while. I have a medicine to make it go away, but it takes about 15 minutes for it to work. I think I had fallen asleep just now for a few minutes and when I woke up, all the pain is gone! Yay. But this is what I have to go through every month and I'm dependent on this drug for the rest of my life. I don't want to keep on taking this drug, but the pain is too much and I *do* have a life to live. All the doctors I've spoken to told me cramps are perfectly normal, even the ones as severe as mine. Some even said they'll provide me some drugs if I need it. So I guess I'll just keep on taking the one I already have now. *pause* The only problem is the drug is an Australian drug LOL My cousins buy me my supply on a yearly basis and I now have supply to last me several years back at home =D I'm running out of supply here, though. Have to remember to bring back several more boxes next time. So there, I'm officially a drug addict now =D

Must study today! Ganbatte, Selene! You can do it! *attempting self-encouragement* Happy studying and good luck to those who are having their final exams too. If I can do it, you should be able to do more than me ^_^x

An interesting read : Time Asia's current issue, entitled "How The World Sees Japan".

selene hates stomach cramps (and all other PMS) on Friday, April 27, 2001, 01:08 p.m.

My touchpad mouse is moving super slow. What the hell happened???!!! I am so very tired today. Will be going back to bed soon so I can start the next three days of hell (ie, studying Finance) in good health XD No one is allowed to ask about how my exams went so far >.< I went to my friend's room after dinner to check out his anime collection. He has lots because he likes to download them and then burn them into CDs. His harddisk size is currently 65 GB, just so he can store lots of nice (illegal) things in it hehehehe... I borrowed Vandread from him! I'm going to raid his collection again after Monday.

Anyone believe in ghost? Or know a real, spooky ghost story? Or better yet, *whispers* seen a real ghost? I feel like scaring myself with ghost stories lately XD When I was in high school, there were times when we had an "empty" period (because of absent teacher) and we spent it by sharing ghost stories with the entire class. It was fun =D I had trouble falling asleep yesterday and ended up scaring myself by remembering various horror stories I've heard. Yeah, I do that LOL *pause* Anyone seen the super-famous, super-spooky Jap horror movie The Ring? It's not frightening people by surprising them with suspenseful moments, but the images and scenes are DAMN creepy and so disturbing I still remember them clearly even after over a year of watching it. I got paranoid when I slept in a room with a TV for several days after watching it >.< But, I really recommend it XD Just... don't watch it alone hahahaha...

*frown* Now I know what happened to my touchpad. Someone was copying something from my computer (probably the mp3s or some movies I shared through the network). It slows things down when someone is accessing a file in my harddisk.

Anne, how was the concert?????!!!!! *currently listening to NPC's Angelo Blu*

JUST what I need! Kodocha 59 is OUT! =D Kodocha first before bed. Ooh, someone just dropped by to my room to give me a piece of bread his parents just brought from Indonesia *happy happy* Food from home is still the best *munching coconut-filled bread* Especially if it's bought at the side of the street from a man who pushes a cart around to sell the food. Yum. Bubur ayam. Bakmi. Soto. Martabak. Nasi goreng 1/4 pake telor! Gorengan! Ack, I miss those food =)

selene is rambling aimlessly on Thursday, April 26, 2001, 10:48 p.m.

I hate Statistics. DIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

I'm going to bed soon for four hours then I'll get up to hit the books once again. I have been so lazy, yes I have. Now I have to play catch up in one night.

Two movies I *have* to see : Lord of the Rings and Final Fantasy the Movie. I love spiffy movie websites with equally spiffy trailers =D Demo, Final Fantasy games trailers always created such an impact, it's a shame the movie trailer is so flat and unimpressive. Moulin Rouge site looks so cool!

selene is so stressed on Thursday, April 26, 2001, 12:26 a.m.

Have I mentioned how much I love Michiyo Akaishi's Amakusa 1637? *sigh* I've been reading it again and again, partly because I need to understand it LOL Especially with the historical names. And the hiragana-less kanji! But anyway, as it turned out, the main heroine's (Natsuki) boyfriend (the one who lost his memory) is now Miyamoto Musashi *awe* and Natsuki resembles Amakusa Shirou so much, the people thought she IS Amakusa. I don't have a clue what happened to the real Amakusa yet... he's dead, I suppose. But now you know Amakusa Shirou should be girlish if he resembles Natsuki ^_^x I want volume 2 NOW! But I guess it'll take a while since this volume 1 just came out on *checks the back of the manga* April 20th 2001? Oro.... it's only been a few days??? ARGH!

Nee, *thinks* I think I want to make an Amakusa 1637 site! *grin* A Michiyo Akaishi site would be great, but I don't have all her mangas. I only know ONE Ten mo Yori Hoshi mo Yori page and it's not even a real site! It's just a page of summary. Ten mo Yori Hoshi mo Yori deserves one decent site of its own since it's, IMO, one of the best manga I've ever read.

But....... I still have ZS to update (and I'm lagging behind my own schedule >.< I suppose I'll push back the update date) and submit a review for the Club's website before April 30th. And I still have 3 exams! My last exam is on the 30th, it's the ever-most-dreaded Finance. So much I want to do in so little time, and I'm stuck with studying. Pah. Life is so unfair.

selene has finished studying for the night on Wednesday, April 25, 2001, 12:24 a.m.

Check out song of the moment up there *points somewhere up* It's an Indonesian Christian song called Tak Pernah Tidur. You can check out the lyrics but the d/l is currently unavailable (Is it just me or f2s.com is often down?) I was trying to study the whole day when the song came on my playlist and I got sort-of distracted ^^ I'm in a state of extreme panic now because I have exams two days in a row : tomorrow and the day after. Which is actually not bad, considering it's only two in a row, it's just I hadn't studied for them at all before yesterday... ^^; I still have so many chapters to read >.<

A couple BBS before I go back to my books :
Anne, yes Koyasu is playing a narcissistic over-dramatic bishounen ^^; Check out his Bishounen Ai no Messeji! (Umeda : "Kuso! Himejima no yatsu... Eien to SANJUPPUN shaberi agatte!!!" LOL)
WAI! Hikaru-chan is a HanaKimi fan too! XD Oh and Hikaru, I'm a Neri Per Caso fan too. They're very big in Indonesia =) Since you know Italian, maybe you can translate one of their songs for me... ^_^x
Yin, where are youuuu?
J, blog more often!! ^^ I owe you an e-mail... after Thursday, ok?

I swear I must have forgotten one or two person I need to BBS =P Ack. Never mind. I'm going back to my despicable Operations Management book -_- and try to discern what exactly is written in there.

selene is in panic on Tuesday, April 24, 2001, 08:12 p.m.

Added two links I have more people I want to add but I can't seem to find them again >.< (yes, it's me and my addled brain again... or is it "my addled brain and I"?)

Benkyou shinakya, benkyou shinakya, benkyou shinakya... *trying to convince self to study* Maybe I should take a shower first....

selene is REALLY going to study (after this) on Monday, April 23, 2001, 08:26 p.m.

Hi, I'm back! How's everyone? =) My network's been down for a couple of days and I was the only one whose network was down! I was talking with my neighbour just now when she suggested to check my IP configuration and update it. so I did. And it worked! Anyway, I guess I'm entitled for a LONG entry now, yes? ^_^

I went to the Maruzen sale on Saturday after my exam and it was PACKED. The queue on the cashier was so long and everyone was swiping entire series of books @.@ I should've come earlier....!! Somebody swiped the entire HanaKimi collection, leaving me with vol 9 only. And all X volumes were gone except for vol 16!! All items were at half price, so it's no wonder some people bought one shopping basket full of books. ;_; I ended up not buying mangas to complete my existing collection of mangas, but adding more series to collect >.< I haven't read D N Angel, but I bought vol 5 and I'm a bit clueless on what's going on 0.0

I bought Michiyo Akaishi's Silent Eye vol 5 and her newest series, Amakusa 1637 vol 1. Amakusa 1637 is quite interesting. It's unsurprisingly the typical Michiyo Akaishi storyline ^_^x (which I like, LOL). It's about a group of high school students who found themselves in historical Japan circa 1630-something in Shimabara because of an accident during their school trip. But they're not thrown back to the exact same time, so when they met again, some of them have been living there for years and have grown up. The main character, as usual, is a girl with courage and spunk. The so-called bad guy is, of course, the guy who has a crush on the main character. And the guy the girl likes suffers from amnesia. Fun, right? =D But to my dismay, both Michiyo Akaishi mangas I bought have no little hiraganas written next to the kanji @.@

Anne, d/l-ed the Hanakimi drama yet? It's very very funny. I think the seiyuus were great. I can imagine every character in my mind while listening to it. I love all HanaKimi bishounens now! I can't made up my mind who's my favourite... ^^;
Syat and Laura, your ICQ messages were the first thing I saw when my network went back up just now. Thank you =)
Why does Pei-yi's CD collection eeriely resembled mine? 0.0

Oh, and I'm glad people like this layout =) Right now I really, really need to study. But I'm so bored and lazy.... *ack!*

selene is BACK! on Monday, April 23, 2001, 03:32 p.m.

Thank you to those who took time to express their condolences to me. You have all been immensely supportive. I have been feeling don't-know-what. It's just a mixture of jumbled emotions, but I'm still functioning normally, so don't worry ^_^x I wasn't particularly close to my grandmother but I still feel the lost nonethelessly. I'm more worried about my mother. And my grandfather. They had been telling my grandfather that my grandmother would be alright and he couldn't believed it when they told him she had died.

I won't be flying home at all since my parents think I should just concentrate on my exams. My other cousin who goes to school here won't be going back as well. I think none of the grandchildren living abroad will be coming back to attend the burial.

I have an exam in 3 hours. Better study, I guess.

selene is still in mourning on Saturday, April 21, 2001, 10:44 a.m.

This is so fast. My grandmother died this morning. My mother was so distraught on the phone I'm currently debating whether I should fly home to be with her after my exam tomorrow for a few days until my next exam on Wednesday.

Bye, grandma. I'll miss you.

selene is mourning on Friday, April 20, 2001, 11:05 a.m.

My ICQ is working, thanks to a genius from EH who figured out how to get it working and shared the info with everyone through the network neighbourhood!!!! Now, if only my MSN Messenger will hold a conversation for 5 minutes without signing me out ........ Like that guy said, ICQ is not dead, it's ALIVE! LOL. *lapsing into Singlish* NUS hall residents ah, exam weeks not studying but busy thinking why chat programs not working. Aiyoohhh... must study meh!

Anne-nee-chan, be-te? 0.o I can't find a perfect translation of it *laugh* Usually I'll just say "feeling down".

selene faces the new day on Friday, April 20, 2001, 10:03 a.m.

I just got off the phone with my parents. I have been putting off calling home for weeks and my mother was more sarcastic than ever because of it, but I'm not upset with her for once, because she just told me something that I'm sure has put her under a lot of stress and anxiety. My grandmother from my mother side is in a comma in the hospital. She has been in the hospital for a couple of weeks, following an operation due to an internal bleeding in the head. It's just my family somehow thought I shouldn't bothered myself with it, since she was recovering after the operation, but just as she was supposed to be discharged from the hospital she went into a comma until now. My mother told me my entire family has prepared all the burial props. The photograph, the dress, and everything. (It's going to be a Buddhist/Confucianist burial.) It sounds a bit cruel to me. But I guess my grandmother must be in a very bad condition. Damn, wouldn't it be bad if I'm having fun in Japan next month when they're burying my grandmother? Or if they decide I should go back home for it? My parents don't seem to want me to do so, but my aunts and uncles might.... Damn.

My parents also told me casually that Singaporean dollar is currently at a high Rp. 6,100 (it's usually around 5500 something), US dollar is at Rp. 11,000; and Japan yen is at Rp. 91; and yes, they've bought me all the Yen I need for my trip >.< Now I feel so guilty. And I won't be spending as much as I want on Saturday on that Maruzen sale. *brightens up* But my Singaporean dollar was bought at the price of Rp 5,500 something, yes? And I still have a lot of those in my bank account.

Voice-in-Head : You're a finance student currently, aren't you?
Me : 0.o Yes, so.....?
Voice-in-Head : Familiar with the time value of money, interest rate, and so on....?
Me : Shimatta. I'm doomed!!

Moving on to another matter. Everyone is convinced that the university is going to ban our chat programs, since they're all not working properly now!!! Whenever someone finds a way to get it working, it will stop working after a while due to "overload" or maybe, because they disabled it >.< Although the Comp Center has said that they have no intention to do so, but a lot of people are still sceptical. Petitions are still going around. SOME people are convinced this is a communist country >.< Meanwhile, the Computing students are in the works to figure out the back alleys of the network system.

Rei-chan, I'm glad you like this layout =) The mysterious thing is, now the lines disappear altogether when I open the page. And yes, I set everything to 0. It usually works with my other layouts, but how come it's not working with this one? Is it the alignment, maybe??

I'm getting more and more troubled. Fuan kanjiteru yo!! I wish I have a whole bucket of icecream with me right now.

selene is upset on Friday, April 20, 2001, 12:21 a.m.

Right. *sweatdrops* New layout and urm... I think I REALLY made a mess out of the HTML codes >.< Sometimes the page might show lines between slices, but if you scroll up and down, it will disappear. I think it disappears because IE overlooks code errors. I hope this page shows up nicely on everyone's computer! *sweatdrops* I don't know how it looks on higher resolution. I'll check it later with someone's computer. I don't even want to know how it'll look in Netscape.

Anyone who can help me fix the codes will get a huge glomp. ^_^x

This layout features Namie Amuro, J-pop songstress =D The title "Taikou Ame" means "pink candy" or "pink rain" ^_^x Pick your choice. It's raining hard right now... 0.o Ame ga daisukiiiiii!!

selene just uploaded this new layout! on Thu, 19/o4/o1, o5:o3 p.m.
