OH YES I'M DONNNNNEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! Except for the splash page. So.... ZS will only be officially open tomorrow. The new layout for Standard Deviation is also done, just waiting to be uploaded but I'll wait until tomorrow since my back hurts like hell now. And I need a cold drink. I have been so productive tonight =D I even took some time clearing up the mess on my floor so I can walk without kicking it.

My, everyone just watched the X-files finale huh? =) I was such a big fan and I never missed a single episode since the beginning. Until I travelled back and forth between countries too much I lost track on which ones I haven't watched and what was happening. And well, now, I have no TV in my room so........ ^_^x

Anne, *koff* I remember that Animonster rarely has accurate informations. That's what I remember from my high school days anyway.

BTW, everyone should read P. Rico's newest RK fic on the kffdisc/rkff : Ice Blue and the Seven Other People. I couldn't stop laughing. Apparently there's a challenge going around in the AMML (I'm not in it anymore) for a fairy tale A/M fic. Which is we have P. Rico's fic and Jo-chan's equally amusing fic, Misao's Magic Lamp. Kffdisc is picking up traffic lately *grin* My post of rkff today even exceeded 10 fics 0.o

Time to peel my eyes off from the computer and get down to business. *pulls out her Tokyo map, travel guide books and a stack of X mangas* Damn, I'm hungry....... and thirsty. Cold drink, yeah.

selene went off to the vending machine on Tuesday, May 22, 2001, 01:35 a.m.

We spent the day at Mui's again, planning our plan for each day in Tokyo. The subway system and railways was a headache and after turning the map back and forth, consulting our travel guide book again and again, pulling out a ruler and measuring the distance, we STILL don't know how to get to Rainbow Bridge. We know where it is, but how the hell do we get there? We've pretty much covered up everything else *evil grin* Oh yes, I'll be conquering my height phobia for the sake of Tokyo Tower. But not Disneyland. My feet shall stay firmly on the ground and I shall be content with just holding those Mickey Mouse-shaped balloons ^_^x

I finally watched CCS 2nd movie today at Mui's house =D It was on DVD, so we watched it with REAL TV (excuse me for being such a "kampung", but I don't have a TV in my dorm room mah! <-- Singlish). Anyway, it was cute! It was waffy! It was sweet! Kero is SO FAT, he even has bulging tummy! AND I WANT MY TOUYA! *shoves Yukito/Yue aside* I miss my weekly CCS dose ;_; When I get home I'm going to dig up those dusty moldy tapes of mine and rewatch my taped CCS episodes MUAHAHAHA! And yes by God, I WILL find myself a Kero plushie in Japan. No thanks to those who refused to buy it for me *glares at Daddy Tosh and Blackie*

Met someone else who goes "WOOOOOAAAHHH!" when I told her I'm a BizAd girl today. Yeah, go figure.

Thank you to those who have offered condolences =) I'm grieving in my own way, I guess. Somehow I am not being allowed to mope around too much with all kinds of things popping up for me to do. Or maybe that's just the after-effects of procrastinating ^^;

Carine, yes he mentioned you to me =D So now I have two people to guide me around Tokyo, ne? I doubt Darto will be much obliged to do it, though. I'll give you a call when I'm there.
And who might this be? Links me with my *koff, koff* real name *koff, koff* Do I know you, BTW? Does anyone know her, BTW? =D
Anne, your orders have been taken =D Anything else to add on top of it? I just hope the stores where I'll buy them from accept credit card since I desperately need the cash LOL
Didi's log gets more and more interesting day by day =)

If you're lucky, ZS will be finished by tonight. But don't count on it, since I have lots of distractions here. *eyeing Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere and the GTO drama CDs and the newly-borrowed-from-the-library Japan travel guide books and the half-finished Standard Deviation new layout* I also have to do some research for our "Grand CLAMP Historical Sites Tour" (in other words, read my mangas =D)

selene is hunting CCS 2nd movie songs on Monday, May 21, 2001, 09:12 p.m.

[[ clt : The Corrs Unplugged ]]

ARGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!! <-- just watched Kodocha 63.

There will be a new layout soon =D Tomorrow, maybe, when I feel like continuing what I have worked on. Everyone must be sick of this layout. I know I am. Pler.

I like Nanase Aikawa. I wonder why I rarely hear people saying her name. I think most of her fans are male ^^; A blockmate of mine (a guy) lent me her Foxtrot album and I liked it. I walked around with it blaring in my ears for several days. I was thinking of buying a new CD today but I couldn't find anything I want >.<

Hmmmmmm....... today was boring. On an impulse I went to another church instead of my usual one. It was an English service (I usually attend an Indonesian service) and the priest was Australian and he had a lovely accent *grin* It's a nice change from everyday Singlish I hear. I'm afraid my English might have deteriorated here...

(an IDD phone conversation with Daddy Tosh last night)
Tosh : Arief's English is SOOOOOO Singlish! He said "I already eat".
Me : Huh? Isn't that correct? What's it's supposed to be?
Tosh : >.< "I have already eaten!"
Me : Err... is that so? *trying frantically to remember what I usually say*

People here usually say, "I eat already." OMG, I need to fix my English *miserable look* Somebody please whack me when I start showing my Singlish tendencies.

Tosh : I told you not to go to Singapore, daughty. Go USA!!

This afternoon my father called from Australia. My paternal grandmother who lived in Sydney passed away early this morning. In the space of one month, I lost both of my grandmothers. It's just sad for our family. I haven't seen my paternal grandmother for 10 years and I don't feel much of a loss this time. But it's hard for my parents, I guess, both losing their mothers in such a short time distance of each other. Makes me want to go home. But I still have my Japan trip first. I'll go home the exact next day after I get back here from Japan. I'd go exactly on the same day, but my flight from Japan arrives here late at night.

I had another upset when I returned this evening and just now. I fed GC's gerbils as usual, and as I was about the scooped their plate from under the saw dust, I saw something furry buried under the saw dust. I stared at it for 5 seconds before freaking out and burying it again. I counted the gerbils, because I had never done that before. Just now GC came back from JB for tomorrow's Big Walk and I asked her how many gerbils she had and she said there were 9 of them. Then I said there was only 8 now. I told her what happened and she digged it up, but she couldn't take it out too, so we asked one of the guys to do it. It would be fine if it were JUST a body, but it was a BODYLESS HEAD. The gerbils have eaten the body, leaving the head. The guys were having fun showing it around and taking a look at it >.< I'm so freaked. So is GC. Somebody, just take them if you want!!!!! I don't know when one could have died, when I fed them everyday and walked past them often, as the cage is just left out on the corridor. Nobody saw anything. How could they finish off eating one body so quickly? *shudders*

selene is just upset and sad on Saturday, May 19, 2001, 11:37 p.m.

Ne, Hikaru, that is also one of my favourite songs, BTW =D Noeru, nice new layout ^_^x

My hair looks.................. it looks like Utada Hikaru's, actually. Especially the one in the Can You Keep a Secret video. I haven't decided whether I like it or not. Wait until I wake up tomorrow and see how it looks then ^_^

People who have been e-mailing me about ZS, err.. I'm working on it. It's not that I have a lot of work to do but I'm just plain lazy *kicks self* But I'm going to finish everything soon, so be patient, okay?

selene is singing along to Maaya Sakamoto =D on Saturday, May 19, 2001, 01:10 a.m.

Hi Alisha. Thanks for linking me. I like the Hikki picture in your log =D My log's title is "Standard Deviation" though. Taikou Ame is just the current version name. But you don't have to change it if you don't want to =D Thanks to Didi too for linking me. One of those few guys who actually blog. *gryn*

I am going to cut my hair tomorrow *crossing fingers* Hopefully it'll turn out well. I hate my hair. It NEVER looks good. *miserable look*

selene goes back to watching GW on Thursday, May 17, 2001, 07:36 p.m.

Hee-hee ^_^ I didn't blog at all yesterday! I have proved that I can not blog at all in one day *niko niko* Anyway, I was actually too engrossed in this Catherine Lim novel I just borrowed from Guek Ching. It was wonderfully written, but somehow after all those anime and manga, I don't really enjoy _realistic_ stories anymore. Plus, it was a tragic story. GC went back home to Johor yesterday and she gave the task of feeding her gerbils everyday to me. Those who don't know what a gerbil is, it's a rodent. It looks like a cross between a hamster and a mouse. GC owns about 7 of them. I really don't like them. They're not cure, they're too active for my liking, they smell (like most rodents), they bite, and they're cannibals. When one dies, the others will eat the carcass until nothing's left. It has happened several times, especially since newborn babies die easily, and GC gets quite upset about it, she's now thinking of giving them away. So anyone wants a gerbil (or more), contact us =D I'm quite sure Tin wouldn't want one *niko*

Yesterday Mui, Minli and I lasted exactly 30 minutes inside Haw Par Villa. It was freaking hot, there's barely shelter, much less air-coned places, and there really was nothing there so we decided to hop on a bus to Suntec Mall and bug our travel agent again. After that we went to the National Library and ended up in Kinokuniya (where else?). We were on the way to Borders, another huge book store, when our travel agent called us so we rushed back to Suntec >.< The three of us are confirmed to extend our stay in Tokyo for a total of 7 days, a change from our previous 4 days. Because if we only extend for 4 days, we'll miss weekend in Shinjuku and we want to see all those cosplayers on the streets ^^; And we're also doing our "Grand CLAMP Historical Sites Tour" (was : "X Scenic Tour") around Tokyo.

(looking at pictures on some brochures)
Me : *points at a picture* Rainbow Bridge!!!!!! Subaru x Seishirou!!!!!
Mui : What's at the Diet Building? *points at a picture*
Me : Oh, it's the Parliament building.
Mui : Is it in X?
Me : Well, Princess Hinoto lives in the basement of the building.
Mui : OK, then we MUST go!
Me : But there's nothing there! It's just a building!
Mui : Never mind, we'll just go there to take a picture beside the sign that says "Diet Building" so we can show it to other people although they won't know what it means
Me : We DEFINITELY have to go to Tokyo Tower. It's a historical site!
Minli : Historical? @.@
Me : you know... CCS, MKR??
Minli : Oh. That.

Anyway, we had fun yesterday ^_^x I'm going over to Minli's place soon to raid her collection of manga/anime/fantasy books *peace sign*

Tin has a new DN Angel layout!!! The layout is rather a different style than your usual, ne, Tin? I also LOVE Hikaru's new layout too! It's blue and it's HanaKimi!

Something from the infamous Haw Par Villa excursion : "misuse of books" is considered a sin in Chinese belief. There are many dioramas inside the big dragon thingy there depicting scenes from Hell, with a sign listing which sins got punished on which level of hell by which king and what punishment the offenders will get. I can't remember what the punishment in Hell is, I think it's to be thrown to a field of protruding swords? Either that, or getting sawed into two. So okay..... how exactly do I misuse my mangas?

selene had dinner at aunt's place and not a single chicken dish in sight! *happy* on Wednesday, May 16, 2001, 08:44 p.m.

Rei-chan, I blog to please you! *grin* Considering I spent 18 hours in fromt of my computer, it's not a surprise I blog often ^^;
Pei-yi, 2.4 KM? *faints* I can't even run for 50 m, I think. LOL. I'm one of those people who should've failed PE every year, except well, NOBODY fails PE, so they couldn't possibly let me fail. And I'm one of those people who always tried to find an excuse not to join the weekly PE class ("meeting", "choir", "homeroom teacher wants to see me", "make-up exam because I had a choir competition the other day", and so on... LOL.) Err... well, anyway, congrats! =D

I'm going to Haw Par Villa tomorrow! *tries to sound enthusiastic* Mui and Minli asked me to join them to do all this "tourist thing" there before that old run-down place closed down although they're Singaporeans >.< Practice before the 3 of us go to Japan? LOL. There's nothing there, really. It's just a former amusement park with lots of statues from Chinese mythology. When I was small, about 6 or 7 or so, my mother used to drag my brother and I there everytime we came here. It was supposed to be educational, I guess o.0

Both of my feet need to be massageeeee~~~~! GAH. I sound like an old woman with rheumatism. But they do throbbed like hell >.< *sprays pain relief* I think I remembered saying I would go to get them checked by a doctor after Dance Night months ago. Well, as you can see, I haven't.

Gonna go to bed early tonight.

selene sings along to silly SMAP song on Tuesday, May 15, 2001, 12:05 a.m.

Oh my God. Could it be YOU who was in Kino today around the Japanese shelves? I was in Kino around 4 PM, I think. I had just finished taking care of my visa thingy at the Japan Embassy nearby and was supposed to watch a movie with my friend except he didn't call me back in time for the movie and so I ended up in Kino, just browsing around =D

Anne, it's not THAT funny *hurt look* LOL. Besides, it's holiday, so I have time to obsess over things. (As if I'm THAT busy with school work on school days ^^;) YES! I want the lyrics!! I've been humming the song on and off since yesterday.

I miss Yin and Jessica! Both of them are moving to a different city (country, in Yin's case) and haven't contacted me in a while.... ;_;

Some Asst PD I am >.< The NUS Anime Club site went through some problems when updating this month and I knew nothing about it. I pulled out of my reviews promise in the last minute too because I haven't been in the writing mood lately. I feel so guilty now ;_; But never mind, I'll be writing several things for it soon *evil grin* Meanwhile, our May edition features the Cowboy Bebop review! Wai~~~~!!! My colleagues never fail to amaze me every month with their amazing reviews.

selene is listening to too many SMAP songs >.< on Monday, May 14, 2001, 06:10 p.m.

Selene's current obsession :
1. Gravitation
2. Gravitation's opening song (I'm looking for the lyrics!) and ending song
3. Yuki Eiri *drool*
4. Ryuuichi Sakuma
5. Weiss Kreuz songs (they're making a comeback on me! Ack!)
6. Gundam Wing

I know someone is laughing as she is reading this.

selene is not going to watch anime until 6 am again on Monday, May 14, 2001, 02:40 a.m.

May God help me. I've been poisoned.

selene is downloading Gravitation episodes on Sunday, May 13, 2001, 03:59 a.m.

Thank you to those who have signed my guestbook! *purrs* Why am I not suprise to see Anne-nee-chan claiming the #1 entry spot? ^_^v Anyway, I fixed up some problems with it, so there shouldn't be any wrong posting anymore. Sorry for that. I screwed up the script ^^;

Elyse & Anne, I don't think I've ever met anyone who has read Kyoko Hikawa and NOT like her works. I LOVE Izark *drools when seeing Anne's new layout* I love Fujiomi too. Chizumi & Fujiomi was a very old work and the Indonesian translation is a bit weird but it's still one of my favourite series =)

I have just started watching Gundam Wing *laugh* I know I'm so behind in this, but hey, it was difficult finding it around since it's an old anime. Anne is trying to poison me with her Koyasu Takehito obsession. But I like Koyasu as Himejima in the HanaKimi drama better *grin* Maybe because his voice is *ahem* closer to my ears. LOL.

*parades around with a sign saying "Anne should read HanaKimi. NOW."* Your Animonster review fans will thank you for it, dear.

Laura, ne, Dune was great, right? I haven't watched the rest of the episodes, although they're lying here in my harddisk. I haven't read the book. I might get it, though =)
Pei-yi, I hope you're alright now! *hugs*

I would have watched more GW and that GTO anime and that GTO movie and that Mahou Tsukai Tai OVA and that Bichunmoo movie and that Dune mini series and done my ZS work today, if Guek Ching hadn't showed up in front of my door when I woke up this afternoon to drag me to accompany her doing her Mother's Day shopping mission. Tsukaretaaaa~~~!
