Right, I finally got myself a new guestbook for all my sites, courtesy of Megabook and f2s.com. It's brand spanking new and EMPTY so I know you all can't resist it *grin* I even deleted my test entries so.... hurry up and be the first!! =D The first signer will receive *drumroll* ..... well, the number one entry spot, which will be burried under dozens of other entries in the future and never be read by anyone again. *is scaring people away* Oh, have I told you the layout is Lagoon Engine? And it's blue? *hums innocently*

I couldn't sleep last night because some @#$%^! was watching a movie with a super loud volume since 4 AM until the entire block could hear it and she only stopped when Mak and I banged her door at 6 AM >.< After that I had a headache and the morning people started to get up and make noises so I couldn't sleep again. I finally fell asleep at 8 after playing FF7 and woke up around 12 when my new neighbour (who is an A-blocker, staying next door for the holiday) decided to show how her speakers and sound system could rival the previous peace-disturbing attempt. Ack, I hate holidays. My block is being used as the holiday block so it's packed with people from all blocks staying in for the holiday and they think they can do anything here.

I think I caught a cold and a wind (kaze ga hiku, masuk angin, sama gak sih?) from last night ^_^; I was supposed to go out with my friend today and run a few errands but I cancelled everything. Huahh... kibun ga warui. My two oldest nemesis, flu and gastric, are haunting me. The latter one is probably because I haven't eaten anything the whole day ^^;

Pei-yi, *sticks tongue out* I was hoping you'd buy it first hahaha... And *mumbles* I can't read Chinese... so I have to stick with Japanese mangas and Kino is OVERPRICING them. I am so deprived. Maybe I should learn Chinese so I can read Chinese-translated mangas. But I'm so bad in it!
Anne, I MUST resist. I have too many things to watch!!!!!

selene is not feeling well on Friday, May 11, 2001, 05:18 p.m.

I was bored this afternoon so I impulsively decided to go down to Orchard Rd to kill some time ^_^ I miss Maruzen! I hung around in Kinokuniya for some time and was wondering whether the Singaporeans I know like Charlene or Pei-yi frequent Kino too. I have always gotten a little suspicious when I meet Singaporean school girls in Kino among the manga shelves. Especially the Japanese manga side. There was once a bunch of school girls raving about Yami no Matsuei and for a while I wondered whether Shi-chan was among them ^_^; Even Sarah told me when she was in Singapore, she was hoping to bump into me in Kino in some way although she didn't even know what I look like because she knew how frequently I visit Kino. Well, anyway, next time anyone happens to be in Kino and sees a girl with shoulder-length hair and blue/white Nike shoes, that's probably me ^^;

BTW, Pei-yi, interested in buying Misia newest CD? If you like it, I'm bound to like it as well =D The cover of the CD is quite cool, BTW.

Peach Tea has been updated with a new wallpaper section =)

selene wants Maruzen back! on Friday, May 11, 2001, 12:10 a.m.

Elyse has a new layout =) I like it very much!! It's Lagoon Engine... what a coincidence, I was working on a Lagoon Engine layout myself =D

Lately I don't have the will to make layouts anymore. What I mean is, I lately don't feel like experimenting with or learning new things and as a result, the layouts I made lately have been terribly simple and boring. I haven't even changed this log's layout because I don't feel like it. Urm, maybe I do need a break and turn my attention elsewhere. I probably shouldn't spend so much time in front of the computer and find something else to do that doesn't involved a computer. LOL.

800 or 1024. Virtue.nu's been down lately, though -_-

selene sings Arjuna OST's Maaya Sakamoto's Bike on Thursday, May 10, 2001, 04:56 p.m.

It's been raining since 6 AM! *sings* I love rain =)

Alexa and Charlene's HanaKimi site is open! I love it so much ~~~~! The layouts are wonderful, as always ^_~

Today's plans : go to hall office, go to OSA, find lunch somewhere, and clean my room ^_~

selene is only happy when it rains on Thursday, May 10, 2001, 12:02 p.m.

I haven't been here for a few weeks and suddenly Kodocha ep 60 and 61 are out!! Episode 61 ends in a cliffhanger though, so I hope 62 will come out soon. I must say the people there at KTP have been doing a great job. So, thank you! =)

Anne, Koyasu Takehito is in Mahou Tsukai Tai as Aburatsubo-senpai?? *shining eyes* I have the OVA CDs here since months ago but I've only watched the first episode. I should continue watching it then. And what's this about Gravitation? *blur look*

selene thwacks Hayama on Wednesday, May 9, 2001, 11:30 p.m.

University students have been able to plug their laptop anywhere on campus and connect to the internet. The new lecture theaters have plugs under the chairs, the corridors have plugs everywhere, so it's no wonder people who don't live on campus tote their laptops regularly to campus on the pretext of studying when they are actually downloading tons of illegal stuff via the super fast university network. Soon, they'll be able to do it everywhere. Except it's not free. It's definitely not new. Carine told me if I bring my laptop to Japan later, I can always plug it in on the streets and connect.

What's the best time to study? Read this article. Now I know why I'm in Bizad and not Engine. Once you know when to study, you must know how much or how long you should study, since too much studying might be hazardous for your health.

Jessica, I'm flattered to know that you think my log is interesting *grin* I find yours interesting too, that's why I linked it. I probably wasn't watching The Exorcist seriously, which is why I didn't find it scary. Nothing freaked me out like The Ring, though.
J, where are youuu??

selene read the newspapers on Wednesday, May 9, 2001, 06:57 p.m.

I blog a lot when I spend the whole day in my room ^^ I just finished scanning my roll of film. Check out the new pics here. There are a lot more camp pics, most of them with me in it XD As well as some DND pics, again, with me in it ^^; And oh! my room! I've been meaning to show it for a long time. I'll be moving out of it in July to another room so I'll miss it *sniff* Here's my room from the front side view. My room is the one on the right with the blue curtain. You can see my Nike shoes hanging outside on the rack. The corridor outside my room. Again, you can see my shoes on the right ^^ My room is right at the end of the corridor. Inside my room. Messy desk ^^; and lastly, my side desk where I usually sit because my laptop is there. Notice the row of manga on top left. This picture was taken months ago and now I already have more mangas. These pictures were also taken after I did a bit clean up so the regular state of my room is even messier, as in NOW *sweatdrop*

The Exorcist was so not fun. I thought it was supposed to be scary?

selene is hungryyyy~~~ on Wednesday, May 9, 2001, !2 : o9 aM

I'm watching The Exorcist now XD It's a bit boring... which is why I can chat, surf and make an entry at the same time while listening to the dialogue. Where's the scary part?!!! I keep my window blinds and door open so I won't feel alone with people going back and forth in front of my door and the corridor beside my window ^_^x Just in case. I have been watching movies the whole day long ^_^x Will be doing some ZS work later on and scan my developed photos. Meanwhile, she has a wonderful Saitou shrine, the only other Saitou shrine I know besides the famous Miburo.com XD I love her log layout too... gonna link her! I have 2 Jessicas on my link list now.... *frown* and one Jess ^^

selene is watching The Exorcist on Tuesday, May 8, 2001, 08:59 p.m.

I'm watching Beautiful Life now! The person whose computer I frequently visit just shared the entire series. It's in Jap with Chinese sub, though. But I can understand Jap quite nicely now (too many animes, maybe?). If only KimuTaku would stop mumbling when he said something =P I've watched several episodes before. In fact, Beautiful Life is the first time I see Kimura Takuya on a J-drama. I hate the ending, not because it's sad, but because it's damn soppy and draggy. I haven't watched the episodes in the middle, so those are what I'm watching now. I think I'm going to spend the entire days watching anime/TV series/movies XD

selene leers at Kimura Takuya on Tuesday, May 8, 2001, 01:33 p.m.

I have been watching Dune the mini-series. I think it's premiering on one of the cable tv channels soon, if I'm not wrong. I know nothing about it, I haven't read the book, and I thought Dune was a stupid computer game 0.o But I like what I've watched so far. I like nice fantasy/sci-fi stories whre good guys are good and bad guys are bad. Complicated, murky plots makes me feel slightly irritated. LOL. Going to bed now ~~~!

selene yawns on Tuesday, May 8, 2001, 02:29 a.m.

Noelle has closed down her anime blog and moved on. I think that this is becoming a trend. Not the "moving on" part, I personally think it's perfectly natural for people to lose interest in something and move on to something else. What I mean is the public announcement of the event. I have been seeing it everywhere lately with sites being closed down wearing the similar message. Anyway, Noelle, I'll be changing my link to your new blog. Whether it's about anime or not doesn't make much a difference to me. What matters is that it's still about YOU, the person I have come to like and I'll still be interested in reading whatever you have to say.

selene just came back from a MAGNIFICENT choir concert on Tuesday, May 8, 2001, 12:06 a.m.

IASC got a new layout to celebrate the 2000 hits! Well, it's not really especially for the 2000 hits thing, I was going to change the layout anyway *grin* Go take a look at it!! XD The layout features Daidouji Tomoyo and sakuras and a tsubame XD Going to a concert now!

selene eats an egg tart on Monday, May 7, 2001, 06:03 p.m.

I can't find a perfect name for my Amakusa 1637 site~~~! Any suggestions?

IASC just got itself a new member with two sites! One is a Garasu no Kamen site and the other one is a Candy candy site. Both series are legendary shoujo mangas, both in Japan and Indonesia. Garasu no Kamen has been running since the late 1970s until now and it's not finished yet. I don't collect it and I've lost track of it, since the last volume was published years ago. I think it should be around volume 40-something now. It's still one of the best manga ever. The author, Suzue Miuchi, is reputedly a perfectionist who takes years to write one volume. I have a hunch that the next GnK should be out soon, because Amaterasu, another Miuchi series which also takes years to come out, has been appearing lately ^^ I think Candy candy was the first Indonesian-translated manga published, back in 2nd grade of primary school. I still have my Candy candy mangas back home. They're over 10 years old now 0.o

IASC is nearing 2000 hits! It's doing so well for a clique *grin* Better than I expected when I first started it. It has 23 members now and I'm happy with that =D The members have been wonderful so it's all thanks to them!

selene gives two thumbs up for IASC members! on Monday, May 7, 2001, 12:43 a.m.

It's been so damn hot lately. The dry season is here in the tropics, there's barely any wind, it's humid, and the sun stings >.< I need to arm myself with sun block when I go out. I was helping my friends this afternoon with their things because they were going back home. There were about 10 of them and lots of stuff and it was SOOOOOOOOO hot. I wish my room has an air-con.

BBS
Farmies, did I call you Bloopers? Hehehe... =P Anyway, urm, Syat knows the whole story.
Wai-!Anne reads Anne Rice too @.@ I was an Anne Rice fan in junior high. I haven't been reading her in a few years though so I haven't read her latest books, but I do collect her Vampire Chronicles *sweatdrop* I'm a few books behind, though XD And yes, I want to hear the Neri Per Caso & Bunglon song!
Tin-sama, an Umeda story huh? *sparkling eyes* His err.. love life is *quite* active in manga LOL But are we talking about a straight or a shounen-ai fic here? I'm quite fond of a gay Umeda but it's interesting to see what kind of woman he would fall for. *ducks from Umeda yaoi fans attacks* Or a story where .......*koff, koff* : 'Umeda finds true love' He needs to settle down LOL.
Yin, I'm glad you like it ^_~ Oh and you're right, Sergio IS from Marimar. I, err... *whispers* watched soap operas in my spare time in junior high (I was very free in junior high, that's why I was most active in reading books and watching TV then LOL). And if you remember the Marimar theme song (I have the mp3!), it begins with "Marimar... Awww!" Hence the "Sergio...Awww!" parody.
Gina! I'm glad to see CB.nu is back, so is your log! Too bad I don't have a CLAMP site else I'd apply to be hosted ^_^x

Hmm, speaking about hosting, anyone interested in hosting my new site? XD

selene wrestles with the carpet on Sunday, May 6, 2001, 09:48 p.m.

Camp pics XD It's not mine, cause I haven't developed my roll yet. Here's two shots of our dormitory/rooms. We're quite convinced it used to be a horse stable decades ago *snicker* The structure definitely looked like it.

And then.... we had a Talent Show during the camp and a group did Alladin (this guy won the Best Actor award! LOL) and it was very funny. Another group had to do Mexican soap opera with dubbing. LOL. Latin American soap operas are quite famous in Indonesia among female audience ^^; and they're all dubbed. Those who are familiar with Latin American soap operas should know what they're like. This group's soap opera's main character is a guy instead of the traditional suffering female lead ^^; It's entitled "Sergio" and the main theme (for before and after commercial break) is "Sergio...Awww!"

My own group did a spin on a popular TV quiz show during the Talent Time but on one of the games where we had to dressed up a group member as a Biblical figure we chose our group leader, Peter-okashira, to be David. But unfortunately, 3 other groups also did David. David's very popular among us LOL.

Most of the hall's Indonesians are going home in two hours, leaving me alone ;_; I'm going to say goodbye to them ~~~~~

selene wants a chibi KenKen on Sunday, May 6, 2001, 01:11 p.m.

Hello, how's everyone? I'm dead tired. I went back from the camp around 5 but then I had to go to my father's friend's place to get some stuff from my parents and th instructions were rather vague and I ended up walking for a very long way @.@ Camp was fun, I had a good time, I met wonderful new people, I made some new commitments that I intend to keep but the place we were staying in had the most despicable bathroom so the moment we all got back in the hall we all rushed to our own block's beloved CLEAN bathroom and spent about an hour in it =D I feel so clean now, it's such a wonderful feeling.

One good thing that happened to us was this afternoon, while we were still at the camp, our friend from the hall called and told us the list of the people who will be staying back in the hall had come out. Now, halls here aren't like regular dormitories. Here everyone is expected to join the hall's numerous activities (like sport, committees and cultural activities) to earn enough points in order to stay again for the next year. As a result, every year everyone would compete to get as many points as possible to ensure their own future. It gets so sickening and tiring, sometimes. Particularly when the competition turns ugly. But anyway, we were so happy because most of us managed to stay back and there were some unexpected people succeeding and we're very happy for them. Out of some 50 Indonesian people here, about 10+ managed to stay back, so we'll all have so much fun next year as seniors ^_^x We'll miss the others, of course, but most of them will be moving to on-campus non-hall residentials, so we can see them fairly often if we want to.

And oh, my departure to Japan is now on May 24th so I'll be stuck in Singapore with nothing to do for 3 weeks. Must figure out what to do every day ^^

I am so tired now, minna. Will BBS tomorrow. Bai bai.

selene shows under-eye circles on Saturday, May 5, 2001, 11:24 p.m.

Bloopers, I need help. Talk to you guys on Saturday after camp. Nigetai yoooo---!!! Tasukete kure! And Syat, *miserable look*

*deep breath* Anyway, the Harry Potter movie website is kinda cool. I had fun with the Quidditch training thing LOL. And the Howler thing is not working! I want to send one to daddy Tosh *evil grin* The movie trailer is soooooo boring. Where's the ooh and aah? It's so slow and uninteresting >.< This is not a movie for the elderly! The movie poster is kinda cool, though =D I want my own owl!

It's 3 AM. I haven't dried my things yet and I haven't packed. Oops. What the hell did I do all night??

Jessica, e-mail me!
Yin, check your mail and *whispers* it's a secret, okay?
I miss mommy Itch!

selene ga nigeta hoshii dakedo..... on Thursday, May 3, 2001, 02:51 a.m.

Well~~~~~~! One glimpse at the Philipines pictures on the newspaper today reminded me of Indonesia.

...........

Filipinos wouldn't appreciate that, I guess. LOL. I don't think things will go as out-of-hand as Indonesia.

I'm going for a 3-day bible camp tomorrow. It's a camp by the campus Indonesian Christian Fellowship and most of the people are both my hall people and my senior high school people *grins* So it's going to be fun. I didn't want to join initially, because I just didn't feel like it, but since everyone's joining and it'd be awful to be left alone in an empty hall when everyone's away, I joined it anyway.

My last bible camp (or retreat, as we call it) was in my last year of senior high (abt a year ago ^^) and although I enjoyed it, I wasn't in my best behaviour then. I was in the committee, which translates into a lot of work and getting less sleep than everyone else, and I had just finished my choir concert and my months of intensive training a few days before that so I desperately needed sleep and I couldn't get it. I behaved badly. Luckily, the rest of the committee members were from my 1st year class and they are my good friends who understand me better than the rest and they were very understanding throughout the whole thing. So was my 3rd year class. They had been watching me doing all sorts of things for one whole year so they knew how busy and how tired I was. Had I not been thinking how much I needed sleep, I would have enjoyed it so much more. I hope I'll enjoy this one more.

Yin, I hope we can still keep in touch when you move! I'm trying to finish ZS before you leave so you can take a look at it, but I might not be able to do that, so I'll just probably give you a sneak work-in-progress preview =D It's almost done, really... *thinks* I just have to make several more new pages and I've been too lazy to write ^0^

I have to pack my stuff..... and do my laundry.... and take a shower.

selene blooped on Wednesday, May 2, 2001, 10:41 p.m.

Turned out there's a bunch of Here is Greenwood (or Koko wa Greenwood aka KwG) sites listed in Anipike. I found out that the manga was published a Hana to Yume in 1985 - 1991 (!! that explains the artwork ^^;) and there are 11 volumes. The anime is only 6 episodes.

There's this two cool characters, Mitsuru and Shinobu, dorm head and student council president respectively, and they're room mates. They're wonderful *laugh* My favourite characters so far. I found a site for these two, complete with their yaoi fanfictions *koff, koff*

A nice general KwG site. And another one.

selene is into KwG on Wednesday, May 2, 2001, 01:28 a.m.

My travel hasn't confirmed our tour to Japan yet and it's less than 2 weeks to departure and I still have to apply for my visa and I need that damned confirmation letter to do it!! >.< I'm worried the visa won't come out in time. And if the tour is a no go, we will have to change tour. Bleh. I'm quite fed up with the current travel agent. Their service sucks and they let countless machines answer their incoming calls so I had to come down there myself. I was planning to go there today, but after talking with Minli, I decided to wait until tomorrow and see what they have to say.

So I ended up going to lunch at my aunt's place. Yum, home-cooked meal and lots of food XD Then I was left alone in the apartment to watch TV (I don't have a TV here) with the dozens of cable channels for the whole afternoon =D Nyaahh... Ghost in the Shell was playing on AXN and I watched it years ago so I kept on changing channels every few minutes or so. Fat Boy Slim's newest video is cool, I want my own baby penguin, and Misia has a great powerful voice. Is it just me, or the current world's music scene is getting boring?

*pause* I wonder WHY do I always make layouts with a female character/person????!!! And everyone else I know actually uses drool-worthy bishie-looking guys/characters all the time. I like good-looking guys too but.... I rarely feel like making a layout out of them. Erk, I'm straight, honestly. Don't get any wrong ideas LOL I promise, this log's next layout will feature a yummy eye-candy of a bishounen. If I can only figure out who that is.... =D

The newspapers are filled with two main topics : Indonesia's political situation and the Philipines'. Personally I don't care who the president of Indonesia is. They're all as incompetent as one another. I just hope no riots will happen so I can go home ^_^x

I watched epi 1 of this anime called "Here is Greenwood". Anyone knows about it? I didn't know anything and it was in the same disk as the RK OVAs so I ended up watching the first episode. It was funny! The artwork isn't very good and it's set in an all-boys school dorm so it's a dead ringer for HanaKimi, except the main character is a guy =D The first 10 minutes or so was so like HanaKimi, because he was deceived by the others into thinking his room mate was a girl, when in fact, his room mate is just a weirdo who looks and acts like a real girl. Nyah, it was funny!

Kenchan, yes, I think he's your junior then.
Lan tian nu, why the move?
Isabela, I still access your log thru the f2s.com address and old layout left frames are still visible. I'll change the link later. Love the new layout!
Elyse, people told me only Indonesians are weird enough to bring bottles of chili with them when they're going abroad.... ^_^x
Laura, I took the WoT selector and I came out as Egwene *peace sign* Next in line was Moiraine, Cadsuane, and Elayne. At least I find these characters tolerable compared to the others hee hee hee...

I have a bloody headache. Gah.
