Mother graciously got me yesterday's Straits Times from this entreprising street newspaper guy (who also sells TIME and Newsweek Europe o.0) Moulin Rouge! Tomb Raider! I *have* to get myself straight to the cinemas once I get back to Singapore. Meanwhile, I just got a list of stay-back seniors in my mailbox and I spent 10 minutes ogling at 201 names, along with their new room numbers. There were some nice surprises, people whom I didn't know managed to stay back and the people who hadn't been on the initial stay back list, are actually in THIS list, so I'm happy for them and I'm happy to know I'll be living with them for the coming year. And YES! I got the room I want *huge grin* I'm suddenly looking forward to go back to Singapore and my lovely hall and meet all my hall mates. *pause* I know I haven't been exactly close to most of my fellow Indonesians on the hall last year. Lots of things kept me from hanging out with them often and well, I'm not sorry with the choices I made, but I hope next year I can spend more time with them and clear out any misconceptions they (and I) have.
I have about 7 more days to spend in Jakarta and I still need to do LOTS of things *scramble, scramble* So many things to do! So many people to meet! And I've been promising too many people that I'd go out with them *sweatdrop* ARGH. [But I'm having fun, oh yes, I am]
Shiori, thanks for linking me! I like the new layout. Actually I've been reading your log quite regularly too =D
Anne, a larger kino? You're talking about PI's Kino, right? *sparkling eyes* I will need to get myself there *if* I can find time to do so.
On the last note, I like Shrek a lot. Oh yesh, nothing more than the loud-mouth R&B-ing non-stop talking Donkey to cheer me up =D

Kenchan just told me the text here is still difficult to read. It looks fine on my NN4 and IE 5.5, both in 16 bit and 24 bit resolution. I've made a minor change to the codes, so let's see whether it works this time.
Pei-yi? Is the text okay now?
Guido has been linking this log for quite some time, but I just keep forgetting to link him back and say hi ^_^ Well, hi Guido! thanks for linking!
Noeru, happy birthday, dear *hugs* Wish you have a great day today!
I have a new email address, thanks to Anne *glomps Nee-chan*. It's selene{at}silver-shining{dot}net. Feel free to use this address when sending me an e-mail. I'm more active in emailing than surfing people's logs nowadays anyway, so just email me if you have anything to say. Some of you have been emailing me regularly lately =D

Ack. It's not CCS today. It's Fushigi Yuugi *pause to watch* It's already on episode 47, yet I've never watched this Indonesian-dubbed before. Errr~~~ I better change the channel ^0^ I don't like FY anyway. Ooh, Doraemon is on in the other channel and there's a very ancient looking Jap thing in another one... I heard the name "Kuuga", so can this be an ancient Kamen Rider Kuuga?

Just as my CCS obsession is coming back to me in full swing (Touya-Touya-Touya *chanting*), what's this I hear? CCS is being shown again on TPI????? *checks the clock* 30 mins more until it's on. I am sssooooooooooooo happy. I miss my CCS sugar-overdose =) I had the hugest crush on Touya, and therefore I hated Yukito ^_^ (I still do). Two of my friends, which happen to be males and read CCS, claim that there's nothing going on between Touya and Yukito that hinted a male/male relationship. Christine and I tried to convince them that just about everyone in the world thought exactly the opposite, but they tried just as hard to convince us that Touya and Yukito behaved exactly the way best friends should behave. They went on to point that even THEY would do the things Touya and Yukito do, since they're such best friends too. Needless to say, Christine and I became just a lil bit suspicious about the two of them ^^; I don't know what they would say now after CCS is finished. Our conversation took place before it was over.
Hm~ an interesting entry in my guestbook from this Indonesian who gave the name Gina and wrote the entry in Indonesian. She said my site doesn't have any content and is just good in design. She said it's a bit "garing" (I don't know how to translate this actually ^^;). I wish she mentioned which site of mine she was commenting on. It is a fault of mine not to ask the guestbook signers to say which site they are commenting on. Anyway, back to Gina's comment. I'm a bit flattered to know that someone actually thinks my design is good enough, because, IMO, there are a lot of very good web designers out there and I'm simply just nowhere near them. As for site content, *thinks* each of my site has a reason why it's there and I do not think the content is THAT useless, except for my personal site, of course, which is simply there to please the particularly nosy ones and well, myself ^^; It is always difficult to maintain the precarious balance between design and content (as we all know from the last major blog-war incident) and there will always be people who will not be satisfied, no matter how I do it, so I don't think I need to please everyone in this world.
As for those who have e-mailed me and haven't gotten a reply yet, I will write you. Soon. I'm feeling very well today so I think tomorrow I can already go out to meet some old friends.
Kenchan, thanks for the sweet email. I'll give you a reply later.
Mommy, miss ya. Have fun with Daddy & Oupa. And oh, by any chance did you get an invitation from a particular person in your 3rd grade class, or hear anything about it?
Blackie, our lil bro has NOT invited me to Poccha's birthday party next week. How outrageous. Their own sister! Not invited! LOL Pei, if you're reading this, you're dead, lil bro. And I mean it this time.
Daddy, Oupa, Mommy, & Blackie, the 1-6-ers are having a reunion tomorrow and you're all not here!!!!! =P We'll have fun talking about the four of you (bad stuff only, of course).

[[ clt : Vision of Escaflowne OST 3 -- rah rah I love yoko Kanno's music ]]
I got sick again yesterday but I'm okay now (I think....). Yeah, I do get sick a lot ^^; Forget about me being fat. I think I threw all my food up yesterday and lost several pounds. Anyway, I spent my waking hours (which are not that many, actually) rewatching animes, which include Weiss Kreuz, Escaflowne, and CCS. Seki Tomokazu sounds different in every single one of them, ne? His voice is not particularly distinct and I wouldn't have recognized it. Koyasu's voice is easier to recognized. Meanwhile, Dilandau grates on me as always and I suddenly developed a fixation on Van o.0 Dorothy Catalonia looks like an ugly copy of Relena (yeah, I watched some episodes of GW too.. but the disks containing ep 35 and above are in Singapore...) I also reread (and reread and reread..) my Mugen Densetsu Takamagahara Dream Saga volumes and I like it more and more *grin* Takamagahara's Takaomi is cool. I prefer him to Nakatsukuni's Takaomi =) Is there a site about it, BTW? I can't be bother to surf around with this old slow PC. LOL.
I haven't been checking ZS (it's still filled with bugs, BTW, I'll fix it as soon as I get back to Singapore) and it reached 50,000 hits a few days ago. Yay! *huge grin* Thank you to everyone who has visited. Thanks to those who linked ZS as well.
Mia, *hugs* glad to know you're not feeling overly sad. I hope you'll continue to have a good relationship with him.
Kenchan, my outdated browsers have developed a certain hatred for Greymatter-powered logs, so I can't view yours from now on. Gomen.
Elyse, okaeri =D Ne, if you want Anne to buy you more mangas, why don't have her buy you Dream Saga *points to the scans on previous entry*? You'll like it XD XD XD
More and more people are using Greymatter now but I still like my Pitas *huggles* I think setting up my guestbook gave me enough CGI-headaches to last for the whole year.

I'm getting fat >.< Blame it on my family of restaurateurs, they simply live to eat, hence the days are filled with family lunches and dinners and me being dragged here and there, which sometimes includes meeting family friends who range from a spoiled 23-year old brat who tried to outwit me in matters of Final Fantasy-dom to a 50-something Irish guy who tried to explain to me the joys of pub-crawling (at least he's read Tolkien's Lord of the Ring 5 times; sober, I hope). At least I get to eat for free =P (In the end, that's what matters most LOL)
Pei-yi, I didn't know it was your birthday. Happy belated birthday, then =D *hugs* (Lots of birthdays happening~~!)
Shi-chan, don't tell me. Is it the top-most split floor? Not the double room at the end, I hope. There's a story about that room (one of my best friends in the hall, GC, used to stay there) but KR is the oldest hall on campus, so there are lots of stories going 'round.
Kenchan, I guess it proves that you're more popular than my cousin =D If you had watched The Ring, that particular page might freak you out. Even if it were a picture of a TV (or worst, an oval-shaped mirror *meaningful glance to Anne*), I'd still freak out.
Yin, I miss SMS-ing with you! Write me an e-mail, please?
Isabela, I'll resend the e-mail to you... I think I still have the copy in my outbox in my laptop's email program.
Lastly, congrats to my onee-chan Anne for her new collective with its own brand-new domain name!!
My dog's sleeping in my room =D WAAH~~! So cute. *huggles*

I had never found a book that deals exclusively with Indonesian biological environment. You hear it all the time, that Indonesia has the most diverse collection flora and fauna in the world and all that pomp, but ask a perfectly educated Indonesian on what's exactly special and you'll merely get a shrug of the shoulders and the matter would probably be dismissed to make way for the hottest current political issue (New president, anyone?) It is almost a miracle I managed to find an interesting book that actually mentions the name of islands other than Java and the plants and animals endemic to each island. Needless to say, I'm having a kick out of reading it =D It's actually a book about Wallace's Line, an imaginary biogeographical line that divides Indonesian archipelago into two very different biological spheres. It even has a detailed geological history on how the archipelago with over 13,000 islands was formed. And an interesting fact about Wallace, the guy who proposed the line, is the fact that he developed a theory quite similar to Darwin's theory of evolution, which eventually led Darwin, after 20 years of formulating the theory and indecisiveness, to publish his Origins of Species in the end. Why couldn't I find any of these in my high school biology textbooks?
Hikaru, I adore the new layout. The picture's artwork seems familiar. What series is it? I think the mangaka most probably has had her mangas published here in Indonesia. And you're right, there are many HanaKimi layouts lately. Blame the blogging world for spreading the madness. (I forgot where I caught the bug from...) Oh and I love the pretty boys pic in that log! *drool* Ming Rui sounds like a respectable Chinese name. (Of course, Chinese names often don't make much sense but are merely lyrically beautiful). My parents gave me a Chinese name but it's hardly ever used since it's not in my birth certificate. I was talking with my father when he mentioned that my brother's Chinese name actually follows our family tradition. There's a supposed primer somewhere on what to name male sons. Each generation's son's name will have the same second character, so it is easy to tell the relation between one and the other just from the name. If we ever meet a family with the same family name which follows the same naming system, the family is most probably closely-related to ours. My brother's name (and all his male cousins) has the character 'Ping' as their second character. My brother's Chinese name is Jinping. As a female, I'm not bound by any naming rule, but out of a sense of symmetry, my mother gave me the name Jinyuan (she actually claimed she got the name from an old man in a dream when she was pregnant with me ^^;), which means "golden swallow" and hence the nick I sometimes use "kin_tsubame". My father is quite clueless on what to name my brother's future son(s) and he was suggesting maybe we should go to China, to his family's original home region, and check it out o.0
Was looking at the local newspaper just now (I kinda miss my daily Straits Times). Doraemon the Movie is showing in theatres here starting tomorrow =0 It doesn't look very brand new... I wonder whether Doraemon is still that popular among children here. It's been showing on TV since, what, 10 years ago? But then again, even the Japanese aren't tired of it yet. Meanwhile, there's a children movie called the Little Vampire, which is actually based on a German children book series by Angela Sommer-Bodenburg, which I've read years ago. I might watch it. LOL. And I haven't even watched Atlantis yet.
Kenchan, my cousin Jason mentioned he has only vaguely heard of a Year 12 named Josephine but he didn't know which one is you ^^;
Before I forgot again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY TOSH & OUPA TISH! You're getting old, daddy dear. Maybe you should consider a walking stick from now on? I'll even buy you one ^^ And oupa, stay sweet and stay away from daddy's BAAAAAADDDD influence and evil girls. Love ya both loads. (Oh, and daughty needs money badly, have I mentioned that? *hint, hint*)

Oh hey~~ CCSakura is the #1 popular series in Anipike! (My starting page happens to be Anipike.... ^^;)
My new favourite series : Mugen Densetsu Takamagahara Dream Saga by Tachikawa Megumi, the mangaka who also wrote Saint Tail. Recently translated and published in Indonesia and volume 2 just came out today (or yesterday) and I began to like it more and more. It's one of those mahou shoujo, but it reminds me a bit of Hikawa Kyoko's Kanata Kara, which is why I like it =D Plus it's cute ^^; The main character, Yuki, looks a lot like Saint Tail's main character Meimi, though, right down to the orangey hair and the very blue eyes ^^
I'm putting the scanned covers of the Indonesian version. This *points to the right* is how typical Indonesian-translated mangas look like (since they're all published only by one publisher), for those who are interested.
I've been making wallpapers lately since I usually have nothing to do in the evening except for playing FF7 and gossiping on the phone. I quite enjoy editing images now LOL. This *points left* is my laptop's current.... err.. desktop. If anyone wants the wallpaper, tell me and I'll send it via e-mail, since I won't be uploading them anytime soon. I also have a finished red/black Sanzo wallpaper, the one I sent to Anne last night. I'm glad you like it, Nee-chan. I'd love to beta-view your site for you.. provided my NN4 or IE3 doesn't crash while viewing it ^^; Sakuya, as always, looks drool-worthy. Oh hey is the collective going to have the new domain name? =D
My long-time Alto partner from my high school choir, Tepie, is leaving for US tomorrow. She'll be starting uni there this fall and we're all going to miss her so much. Tepie and I might have different vocal tone, but after joining church choir, I realized she's the only person I feel *really* comfortable blending my voice with. (it's kinda hard to explain ^^;) When can we sing together again? =( I'll miss you~~~!

So, I've been checking out the logs and sites I haven't been able to check with my Pentium 1 PC *grin* (The keyboard here is very weird... the symbols are all mixed up.. I have to look down when I type in case I type wrong..) There are so many new layouts!!
Charlene, nice layout =) Anne would love it *grins*
Isabela, I like the new colour scheme! And whatever happen to the thing we were talking about? Did you get my e-mail before I left for Japan?

It seems Gina is gone from the blogging world for good. I miss her =(
Laura, ack, you have a new layout too! Hot babe you got there ^^ Damn, I miss chatting on the ICQ with my Sedai sister ^_^

The convent girl had been staying in *my* hall for a camp (4 out of 5 blocks are being rented out during the summer holiday) and I just found out about it. If I had been there instead of here home in Jakarta, I would have been able to meet Shi-chan *grin*
*yawn* I've been in a bad mood all day. Lack of sleep and migraine made me very short-tempered. Nobody wanted to watch Atlantis with me today because they heard it sucked (does it really?)~~~ And my partner-in-watching-unpopular-movies, Kay, is away in Bandung attending a special drawing class for her Design Faculty university entrance exam. My days are going to be a bit quieter with my friends going out of town this week. Come to think of it, I haven't been spending the entire day at home ever since I got here. I have always gone out during the day. I've grown quite sick of the malls here, but there's other place to hang out. [Nee-chan, no, no, not your house~~! It's in another town! I do want to raid your manga and anime collection though~~ Hey wanna watch Atlantis with me? Hehehe...] I'd hang out at my old high school, but it's the holiday! Speaking about school, I'll be going back to Singapore in 3 weeks and classes won't start in another week after that, but I need to go back earlier because I'll be moving rooms (no more B 318! I should change the name soon and the layout) and I've promised some people to help out during Matriculation Fair and I wouldn't miss my hall Freshmen Orientation for the world, now that I'm a senior. Whee. Suffer, freshmen, suffer.

Anyway, Mia is cute, so is her sister Mika =D Anne is also very cuteeeeeeee =) *glomps Nee-chan* and Kenchan is very quiet, but never mind, next time we'll talk more, ne? =D I'll scan the pic as soon as I develop my roll. I still have 16 shots left and I have no idea how to finish it. Maybe I'll get my dog to do a lil bit of modelling for me.
Anne : Here's Hyde again *showing the 1827465th Hyde pic she has, which are pasted on her every single possesion*
Mia : Hydeeeeeeeeeee~~~!
( fangirl hysteria ensues)
Selene : *squints* Is that the guy in your log?? o.0
I didn't watch Saint Seiya again today *grins to Anne* I woke up around 10.30 then I had to rush to the airport to pick up my mother. I only saw a bit while eating my breakfast sleepily. My only thought was "Geez, this looks so old!" My mother, after 2 weeks of shopping in Australia, felt like shopping some more so we went to Plaza Indonesia afterwards. I was going to buy something at Kino but before I decided on anything Mother realized she should be resting instead of going on a shopping spree so she dragged me home. She brought me my Sony VAIO disks and my stupid modem is STILL not working. I must have messed up my hardwares trying to resurrect my modem to no avail. I hope I didn't destroy my LAN networking configuration. Ack. I guess I'm stuck with this old PC for the next 3 weeks then. I don't think there's a Sony computer service center in town.
Pei-yi, I think I know why you found the text difficult to read. It's purple, right? It should be black, but I know why it's not black. I'll fix it after this.

My hometown Jakarta is 474 years old today. June 22, 1527 is not its exact founding date; it was just the day when a rural king wrested it away from the hands of would-be colonialists the Portuguese and gave it the name Jayakarta, meaning "a perfect victory". Before that it was a fishing port called Sunda Kelapa whose exact point of origins is unknown. After being Jayakarta for a short while, it became Batavia under the Dutch colonialism until mid-20th century where it changed its name into the current Jakarta, a shorter derivation of the old Jayakarta. Its native inhabitants are the Betawi people, whose culture is actually a synthesis of many other cultures like Javanese, Chinese and many others. (Of course, anyone who grows up here should know all these.) There is an episode in RK (ep 60 something) where the Kenshingumi met a prince of Jakarta. And there wasn't even a Jakarta then. Not to mention a prince. Just one of those lame post Kyoto-Arc filler eps bloopers.....
I found a couple old Kyoko Hikawa shoujo mangas today =D They're very very old works of her. But I like it~~ ARGH! the humid weather is killing me! *turns on the air-con* The woes of living in a tropical equatorial country with an increasing earth temperature. I finished watching Mahou Tsukai Tai OVAs yesterday, after being lent the VCDs for several months now. Aburatsubo is the ultimate ecchi!! "Takeo-kun, RIDE ME!" I think he is why I bothered finishing Mahou Tsukai Tai. That and the ever-hentai-hallucinating Takefumi Takeo. I don't think mahou shoujo is exactly my type anymore. My Nakayoshi days are way over.
Daddy, urm.... read your mail.....
Tin-sama, *sparklies* you'll fic? YOU'LL FIC????????? Write about anything or anyone in HanaKimi and I'll worship you forever *glomps Tin* Read the rest of the mangas and you'll see more of sexy Sano poses (I think Hisaya Nakajo enjoys drawing Sano taking off his shirt ^0^)
Through Anne's log, I found out that Yukimi now has her own personal log. We've talked a few times to each other (particularly because I need to clarify a few things with her) and at that time when I asked, she hadn't had her own log yet and now she does =) I'm going to link her~~~!
I'll see the three of you tomorrow for lunch =) Oh and I'll be bringing my camera since I still have half a roll left in it from my Japan trip. It's not too embarassing to take pics in the middle of Plaza Senayan, is it? *sweatdrops*

This log has a nice Gackt pic. It looks like a pic of a younger Gackt, though. When I was in Japan, Gackt was on TV every night ("Oh look! It's Gackt performing his boyband-ish dance routine again!" "Hey! Isn't that the same leather pants he wore yesterday?" "And that same eyeshadow color~~~!"). He looked cooler then *grin* He was very funny and always kept a straight face while everyone around him laughed at what he said. His favourite phrase was "Dame desu ka?" In an interview he said he liked girls who were good in ecchi LOL Of course, all of you hoards of Gackt fans online probably knew that already.
Talking about TV, Jap TV likes to put subtitle of what the people say in variety shows. In Japanese. The TV screen is always crowded with colourful bright words. The subtitle helped us to understand what the people were talking about, though. The subtitle is probably to "enhance your audio visual viewing pleasure" *grin* I notice the same thing with Chinese variety shows. Especially Taiwanese.
*yawn* This is my one "free" day. I have no plans of going out today. I have been going out everyday since I got here. I go to Plaza Senayan and Taman Anggrek 3 times a week *rolls eyes* What am I going to do today~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm uploading this layout while watching the Miss Indonesia pageant on TV. Most of the contestants are quite pretty, the hosts sucks *rolls eyes* (jayuz ah), but Miss Universe 2001 from Puerto Rico is among the audience and she's VERY pretty.
