The toll of using a touchpad on my laptop is beginning to show on my poor hands. The muscles at the back of my hands and my forearm are very stiff and achy for the past few days. At first I suspected it was because of how I hold my music scores while singing. But the left hand's muscles grew stiff yesterday so it's definitely not because of that. I think it's because when I'm in front if my computer, I always rest my hands on top of my laptop, at the base of the keyboard keys, in a half-raised position to make typing easier. There are even marks on my laptop where the base of my palms usually rest. Anyway I suppose I'll use a mouse for the time being, but I couldn't find my old mouse, I might have thrown it away. Will buy a new one tomorrow at Suntec, since I'm having my exam there tomorrow. So I'll cut down on my computer usage today. And give my hands some massage, lots of pain relief spray, and refresh their memory of my traditional dancing days. BESIDES it's 9.21 pm and I haven't been studying the whole day because of Jap class, choir and church; AND my exam tomorrow is on 8.30 *AM* and it's at Suntec and the bus leaves at 7.15 AM. How much crueler can it get. I don't want to wake up so early *wail* Anyway I'll try to blog very fast ^^ Because I've set a target to start studying at 10 sharp and I've yet to shower.
Still speaking on my Kamui's death proposal ... CLAMP has pulled such mean tricks before (TB? Clover? SEISHIROU'S EYEBALL??), why not again? I just hope it'll happen soon (as in the next few Asuka installments? XD) What's the worse that could happen if he dies, anyway? (Hinoto : "The end of the world, stupid." Tokyo is probably half destroyed anyway and Tokyo *IS* the entire world, as far as mangas are concerned ^^;) Besides, someone once predicted that X should end in vol 22/21 (can't remember exactly) because they're running out of Tarot cards to picture XD But then CLAMP can always come up with something else... Die-hard X fans are going to kill me, but I have a confession to make. X is beginning to bore me. Or rather, I'm beginning to lose interest in it. I think the mind is too saturated that it just refuses to ask for more. I don't feel like watching it, despite having the episodes in the space of a few mouse clicks. I don't feel like I want to know what's going to happen next either. I don't even want to discuss about whatever it is worth discussing. And I want to scream everytime I see Kamui (which is posing prettily in front of my yet-to-be-read Newtype). Actually, you know what, I despise Kamui now. He better die soon. I don't want to see his pretty face again.
I forgot to say that Hellsing's Allucard is a dead ringer for Trigun's Vash. Red clothes, yellow glasses, and a cool gun? I've yet to find out more about his personality, though. Well, he's a vampire so might not expect much of him except if some Gypsy tribe curse him with a soul and he falls for the Slayer (whose Hellsing counterpart would probably be the female-officer-koneko-chan-turned-vampire. I dunno. Need to watch more to find out). And I've written somewhere once about how similar Vash is to Kenshin. So Allucard ~ Vash ~ Kenshin? I believe it's the red clothing, yes? So okay, Kenshin's magenta but it's still a shade of red anyway.

Wonderful day. Exam went well, I think. *crosses fingers* I feel somehow unsatisfied with my essays but it was the best I could do. After 2 hours I got bored and restless and lost interest in what I was writing hahahaha... But I finished it in time. I had time to surf around and chat a bit ("Hey, finished? How? How? what's your answer for Q1?"). Anyway I treated myself to an anime marathon afterwards : Hellsing 1 (it's cooooooooll!), Scryed 3 (Ryuhou-samaaaaaaa!), AL 17 (Oujirou-samaaaaaaaa! Daaaaaaissssuuukkkkiiiii! *glomps*), Arjuna 8,9,10 (I really like Arjuna despite the underdeveloped storyline.. it's very surreal yet issues brought up are very real. It's like one environmental education pamphlet with more colours and wonderful soundtrack XD and... um, basically I don't know why I like it so much XD). Oh and I watched Pretear 3 and 4 last night. It was hillarious.

Well, I'm so sick of studying tonight I actually spent hours glued in front of Arief's TV (who is at the lounge STUDYING) watching Angel, Survivor, The Amazing Race etcetera. And now I'm back in my room and I still don't feel like studying. I've pretty much finished my study target for today so I'm fine with slacking the rest of the night, although my first exam is tomorrow morning. The things is, tomorrow's exam is an online exam. Meaning, I'll be doing it in my room, in front of my own computer. At 9 am straight I'll download the questions (2 of them) and I have 4 hours to type my answers (max. 4 pages long, that's 2 pages per question) and another 30 minutes to upload it. I have all my articles, all my country surveys, my pretty textbook, and my neighbour to help me with it. I think my neighbour also has one whole stack of Asian Wall Street Journal newspapers, too. There's not much point in studying, considering I've read all my materials. I can always review, but nah.... ^_^ I don't think the exam will be easy... 4 pages is VERY short, I can type it in less than an hour, BUT the problem lies in how I can score. Everyone will basically have the same resources; some people are even doing it in groups so they can discuss, so how do I get an A on this one? I'd really like to get an A.... I'd really like to get an A for Macroecons too, which is on Monday. Gee, I've never been this ambitious XD I usually aim for a mere B. I'm not an ambitious person, really ^_^x Ah well. Wish me luck. I'll be online the entire morning. Feel free to come online and help me out.
I've been listening to Vivaldi again. The tunes keep playing themselves in my head, to a point where I actually sang out a line ("AAAAAA Dextris MEEEiiiisss!") when I was having dinner with my block. People stared. Yeah. And Selene tried her best to look innocent and pretended that it was just a pleasant-sounding burp. Anyway, which reminds me, my birthday is less than a month and kind people who wish to give me a present please take note that Gardiner's Handel's Messiah CD has been added to my wish list. Just got back from day 3, and the last, of choir workshop. Boo-hoo. I wish I have practice everyday =) I always feel so good after practice. It makes me feel refreshed and happy. Yay. I didn't even feel pissed when the takoyaki stall ran out of takoyaki when it was my turn and I had queued for 5 minutes before. Nor did I when I had to pay 30 cents more than the average bubble tea price at a certain shop. If only I could devote my life to choral singing XD
Guy Problem resolved for the time being (so no more nosing around, you gossipy people. Yes, that includes YOU, daddy). Study group is cancelled. We're not going to tutorial either. I have a feeling he's cancelling all these because he wants to avoid seeing me too. On one hand I'm happy that I don't have to face him in the mean time. In the other hand, the rest of our group mates are bearing the brunt of this. I fear we won't be as close as before anymore, especially because next sem we won't see each other anymore.

A bit about the disputed FFshit site : I do find it funny and amusing. I've never been to any of the sites mention, because I don't go around surfing FF sites, so I don't know about whether the site is saying the truth. To a clueless person like me, it actually makes me want to see these site for myself, to see just how BAD they are, which, of course, goes against the site-maker's wish ("It's time to promote these sites so you don't have to visit them
") It's a shame that there is no list of the supposedly GOOD sites so I can compare the sites for myself. I don't even know what are the sites the site-maker said these lousy websites have stolen their content or images from. It'd be good to have that list to back his arguments (a lot of work, probably, but hey, the writer seems to be pretty savvy about the FF online community, he/she can probably generate the list on top of his/her head. I had my choir workshop today. I totally enjoyed it. There's nothing in the world I enjoy more than choral singing. I don't even enjoy singing alone because my voice is not that good hahahaha... I bought November Newtype today just before choir practice because the place is near Bugis Parco, which has a Kinokuniya and Kino's specialty stores, Ink2 and A'n'BC. A girl needs to sing AND drool on bishounens, deshou? (despite final exams and JLPT 2 >.<) The cover is Kamui and there's a lot interesting articles inside, except I can't really understand most of them ^^ I'll look through them again slowly. A lot nice piccies, as well. I'll scan a few interesting ones tomorrow. There's some Five Star Story pull-out thing in the middle, postcards and articles and so on. Mui'll love it. She's a huge FSS fan and when we were in Japan, we had to follow her in hunting all FSS character books. I don't know the story myself, but Mui claimed it's a fantabulous super-complicated story that probably won't see an ending in this lifetime. And the Scryed guide book freebi thingy is cool. I want to watch Scryed again now. Oh, and Hellsing looks cool, too. There's an ad about Future Blues, which is the soundtrack album title for Bebop movie AND a movie of its own with soundtracks from Bebop? I don't get the ad *confused look*

Along with it, the choir is upgraded into the Singapore Oratorio Society (a counterpart of the Jakarta one), with a oratorio concert once a year as its main agenda. JOOOOOOOOYYYYYY!!!!!!! One thing that spoiled my joy : there is a guy who is after me and has just made his intentions known today. Ack. I don't like having a guy (or more, for that matter) after me. I don't even want a boyfriend. I just want to be left alone in peace. Why do guys think when you're nice to them, they think you're seeing them as boyfriend materials????? Maybe next time I meet someone I should just directly say, "Hi, I'm Jane, single, and definitely don't want a boyfriend; so, what's your name?" One last entry before I *really* hit my books. I really don't like it when someone "borrows" something I wrote for ZS and uses it on his/her own website without asking permission. If the person acknowledges that he/she didn't write the piece and linked my site, that's still okay. But when he/she sends me an email implying that ZS WILL be linked IF I link his/her site first, it gets my blood boiling. Who's doing who a favour, anyway? Haven't they heard of COURTESY??!! >: Reminds me of the little thief who called me names when she's the one who stole my piece. In a way, people might think taking a piece of writing is less harmful than a layout design because, hey, it doesn't take as much effort, work, or brain to write than to make a design, right? Besides, it's not as if it's a bestselling, critically-acclaimed book. WRONG. I spent more time in writing a page in ZS than I did in making layouts. Writing the piece itself took not more than 15 minutes, but it took me days to research on what I was going to write. Try reading dozens of history books. Try watching 95 episodes and writing them down. I am not being a bitch or making a fuss. I am merely saying I worked hard. I don't need appreciation but I certainly need having my works NOT stolen. Tomorrow is my church 3rd anniversary. It's an Indonesian church, the Singapore branch. It was established 3 years ago and tomorrow we are being established as a formal church. (Previously we were called "Mimbar", not a real church yet, but it functions like one). So tomorrow's a big day for us and it'll be a special service. We even have guest stars. LOL. My church has a strong classical church/sacred music inclination. In Jakarta, it goes hand-in-hand with the Jakarta Oratorio Society. Anyway, two JOS personalities are joining the service tomorrow and performing solo. I'm so excited XD And they're going to give a workshop for the choir on Monday and Tuesday. *happy* Oh yeah, the choir (which includes yours truly) is also singing tomorrow with our brand new Hogswart purple robe XD XD Selene's going to be damn genki tomorrow. Let's just say I sorta got this spurious urge to improve my grades. I've been in a weird mood, though. Even the way I dress has changed. I'm usually a casual dresser, throw a t-shirt with a boring colour and a comfortable pants at me and I'm out of the door. My favourite colour combination is usually white and blue >_< Lately, though, I've been dressing in vivid dark colours. Black, dark green, wine purple, chocolate brown, dark red... I don't even feel like wearing my white/blue Nike anymore ;__; Never mind my feet feel tortured when wearing other shoes. And sometimes I don't even care what combination of colours I'm wearing 0__o Yesterday I showed up with dark grey top, olive green pants, and bright lemony yellow shoes. *winces* What on earth is happening to me? Today I'm a walking Christmas decoration with my green jacket, red top, and chocolate brown pants. I think it's this layout effect. It must be! Spike, it's your fault >.< I need to change layout soon.

My Indonesian CG mates have managed to wheedle my URL out from me during our last session. Anyone reading this? *hides under the table* I think I'll be turning them into fangirls soon ^^; They've said that they want to hold a CG in my room one day so they can raid my manga collection. Uh-oh.

He deserves more than ONE outdated site XD XD And on that Indonesian language thing... *laughs* I think Surabayans slipped Javanese words here and there, which is why for a Jakartan (weird word, this one) like me it's difficult to understand. There's this weird thing on "gua", "saya", "aku" thing. I speak with "gua" but since coming here, "saya" and "anda" has become a slang among Indonesians in my university. It's hardly a formal word for us anymore. In fact, we speak very formal, but it doesn't feel formal anymore. But I find myself saying "gua" and "saya" in one sentence, which is, plain weird >.< When someone come to visit us here and hear us talking, he/she will usually exclaim, "Why are you guys so formal with each other??" And we'll go, "Oh.. er... let's change to "gua" now..." AND (gee, I have a lot to say to you... catching up on the past few days hahaha...) get hooked on CLAMP and you'll become a rabid (and devastatingly broke) fangirls like the rest of us. Tired but genki. Nyah~! Been playing around the whole day and just came back about an hour ago. Haven't done my assignment for tomorrow. My room's a wreck I don't even feel like moving the stuff on top of the bed to the floor so I can sleep. I just realized how very tired I am now *__* Can't think. Don't even have the energy to think. Need sleep. I'll just get up at the break of dawn to do my assignment *sigh* Last days of proper classes...... just a lil bit more...... (just gotta break down the door).
I've d/l-ed IE 6 on my cousin's computer just now (lucky he has cable!) and I still can't check my uni's email >_< Stupid computer. Something must be wrong somewhere. Anyway, 'tis a nice rainy day and I have no idea what to do for the rest of the day. Gah. The boredom of having nothing to do. I'm at my aunt's place and I don't bring my laptop with me so I can't make a new layout or watch movies/anime. My friends have started studying for the coming exam (in about 2 weeks' time) but I don't have my books with me and it's not like I'm going to study if I do have them here with me. I am 5 minutes away from Orchard Rd. though... Think I should go shopping??

Steph, I guess most of the AL sites around were build even before the anime or the manga finished (which is just recently, BTW) and hence they haven't seen much of Oujirou XD XD I've watched up to ep 16 (out of 26?) and read until vol 3 (out of 5/6 ..? can never remember...) and still yet to see him truly fight on the Layer. But still, Oujirou-samaaaaaaaaaaaa...... *drools*

Selene is a 19-year old Chinese-Indonesian living in Singapore. She studies Business Admin but feels that she's more of an Arts person. Current layout features Spike Siegel of Cowboy Bebop. Selene loves loves -loves- Cowboy Bebop, although she hates reading Descartes. (Selene has also developed a fixation on loud but dull, semi-warm colours lately @.@) Layout is inspired by and made while listening to Cowboy Bebop Movie OST songs, both the Maxi album and the Future Blue album, which she really really -really- recommends. 'Tis a sloppy layout, but Selene trust everyone will politely ignore that. Besides, it's a well-known fact that Selene is indeed a very sloppy person.
