clt : Do As Infinity's Break of Dawn album - I like D.O.A a lot, actually XD

Am in no mood to study today. My Philo exam is tomorrow and it's an open book exam so there's not much to study, really. My JLPT test voucher has arrived.... 12 more days to go! Anyway, today's another boring day for me. Supposedly to be used for studying, but well, you know... ^_^; I think I haven't doing much thinking lately despite exams, it really blunts my brains or something. I'm often in a blur-like expression and I speak with incorrect grammars. Yes, even when I speak Indonesian. And you think Indonesian is a language where you can't speak with incorrect grammar. Many people lately ask what's wrong with me and I'd reply, "Too many studying." "Too MUCH studying, you mean." "Err, yeah... *dazed expression*" I'd realize where my mistakes are a full 5 minutes after. Is it because I've been drinking too much coffee during the semester? (My ex used to tell me coffee dulls someone's brain LOL) Or is it because I'm not taking coffee now? (a withdrawal symptom?) Or is it just because I sleep too much? ^_^x I think I -do- sleep too much >.<

I love buying food at Marks and Spencer. Heh heh heh. It has lots of interesting very-English food. All the biscuits are very nice XD XD I always end up buying lots of food when I'm there. (I think it should just specialize on FOOD rather than boring, expensive clothings). Moving on to X, what's with this childhood side story? CLAMP, you're wasting time (and our money!). Just get on with it and kill Kamui!

Fuuko, other flavours of Pocky? There are dozens of them. And I intend to try every single one of them. (Well, maybe except the Coconut flavour...) You can't find those flavours easily, though. I don't know why. Even in Japan I could only find the flavours I can find here in Singapore. Maybe some of the flavours are out for a limited time only? I did hear that snacks in Japan have the shortest life-cycle in the world. They go out very fast.
Ira-nee, makanya Anda harus sering2 drop hints dong *ohohohohoho*
As-chan, bales email gua dong! XD Mau tau kapan tepatnya elu ke sini....
Yin *laughs* it took me months to finish Lord of the Rings and I have a cloudy recollection on what the story is right now. And Silmarillion squashed my brains in the first few pages. BUT I did drool on the new edition of Lord of the Rings, as well as the special edition. I can't wait for the movie, either!
Fel, hang in there, honey. "... sebab Allah itu setia, Ia tidak akan mencobai engkau melebihi kekuatanmu ... Ia akan memberikan kepadamu jalan keluar sehingga engkau dapat menanggungnya." Somehow I like the longer Indonesian version of the verse better ^_^ BTW, I think you should read the book first. Maybe just the 1st book first?

clt : Neri per Caso's Angelo Blu album

It's raining =D I love rain. Especially when it rains before the sun sets and the sky is very dark with just a hint of light. Have I ever mentioned that my room window faces the jungle? It's just tall trees out there and the jungle goes all the way to the other side. I love the view, especially when it rains and the wind is blowing strongly. It'd be a shame to leave this room next year :( Rain always reminds me of my senior year in high school. I think it used to rain a lot back then. Mornings were always very cold and the wind was always blowing through the corridor, slaming doors closed and blowing people's skirts ^_^; Natsukashii naa... I am the only one in my classroom, among 31 students, who goes to university here. The rest are scattered all around the world. Kedo, yappari daigaku to koutougakkou wa zenzen chigau desu yo.

To those who have been urging me to study, I've been studying today. Plant Biotech. 150 more pages to go, I think ^^; I managed to restraint myself from watching HYD after 28 episodes. Last night one of my KTB (Kelompok Tumbuh Bersama - sorta like a Bible study thing) mates cooked dinner for me *ureshii* My KTB mates are all more mature than me hahaha... I feel I'm kinda being mothered by them. They're the ones who'd worried over me not studying and the ones who'd remind me to study (and to eat). We're going to watch Harry Potter and have lunch together this Friday XD PLEASE let there be tickets.

Mads, welcome to Hogwarts, Muggle XD
Yin, rant more about the movie, please? Hehehe..
Ira-nee, was just thinking that you could drop -subtle- hints on that LOL My younger cousins don't even know those great old titles and could only sigh when I told them about this series or that series. Translated-mangas these days are not as good as in the past. Maybe because they ran out of good title to translate LOL And why don't they translate MORE Hakusensha mangas? >_< Oh and I'm actually an JuliusxIsaac fan. I don't like Klaus ^^
As-chan, betul, Anda maruk sekali hehehehe...
Charlene, I think HYD is like THE manga series for Singaporeans. LOL. Almost every girl know about it, have read the mangas, or have watched either the anime or the drama. I think it's almost like GnK is in Indonesia. Anyway, yes, yes, when I was watching, I'm always so pissed with one of the character or how things are going. But well, that's drama for you XD Oh, do you know whether the manga has ended yet? Last volume I saw at Kino was vol 31.
Catherine, no meteor shower seen huh? Hehehe, now I'm glad I didn't bother to look. Anyway, from experience, it's hardly possible to see stars in the middle of the city like this. I remember during orientation at Sentosa we were lauching those paper lanterns to the sky (what's the Chinese name for them anyway..) and only one managed to take off and everyone was making a wish and keeping an eye on the lantern before it crashed to the sea, and suddenly there were 2 shooting stars! It was beautiful. I've never seen a shooting star before because I live in the city too. Should go to Sentosa next time, I guess.
Anne-nee, Prism Time, huh? *thinks very hard* Can't remember which one that is *frowns* I'll get back to you when I do remember. Www~~aaiitt! An Angelic Layer fanfic competition? I'll get to see an OujirouxMisaki??? XD XD XD
Steph, those HnG I mentioned were anime episodes. Oh and are these guys here the same as that F4 boyband?

Which just reminds me... I'm so out-of-touch with entertainment news LOL I was talking to Yil on the ICQ about the 9 pm CityTV Jap drama I've been watching. I know the Jap title now, it's "Muko-dono".
And Yil was saying, "I know! The guy is from Tokio, right?"
Selene : *blink, blink* No, he's not!
Yil : Yes, he is! I'm dead sure about it!
Selene : No, he's not! My friend is a big fan of Tokio and she didn't know who the guy is when we watched the drama together. Isn't Tokio the duo? Hold on, lemme find a Tokio site.
Yil : >.< no, Tokio is the 5-person band.
Selene : Ahhahahhahaha *sweatdrop* You're right. It is HIM. Ahahahaha... Oh look, gossip says he's dating Ayumi Hamazaki
Yil : I thought it's official that he is Ayumi's boyfriend?
Selene : Ahahahahahaha.... ^^;;; he is? Ehehehe.. ^^;;;

Yaa~~~iii, long post. Better continue studying so I can watch Muko-dono at 9 XD XD And the rain has stopped. Shucks. And uh, I have a series of new layouts coming soon, I think. I can hear voices in my ears saying : "Anime-watching, website-surfing, AND layout-making? You're still in exam week, stupid, EXAMSSSSS???" I deserve a kick right on the butt.

I have the best anime pimp in the world *ureshii namida* After complete episodes of Hana yori Dango, he has Rose of Versailles now. Has he been reading my log?? 0.o And after I dropped him a note saying how much I like Pretear, he downloads Pretear as soon as an episode comes out in an incredible speed. I'm so impressed. I'll certainly glomp him if I ever get the chance to meet him in person XD He has Hikaru no Go 1-3 too *sly glance at a certain HnG fan* Maybe I'll give it a try one day. I'm still behind in watching Shaman King and I haven't tried watching Final Fantasy : Unlimited yet. So many to watch and... uh, I still have those things called EXAMS?! And JLPT 2? Anyway, I guess I'm giving myself a break from studying today so I'm off to watch more HYD now XD (BTW, fansubbers are still coming out with Hellsing? I just saw a newly-d/led ep 4?)

Am surfing various anime site XD (Don't worry, I've finished my Kanji review of the day *swirly eyes*) Anyway, Rain Kiss is a Naoko Takeuchi story that I like ^_^ Yeah, I actually kinda like Naoko Takeuchi. I think I have this Rain Kiss manga at home, the Indonesian-translated one, but not sure. Aiyiyi.. there's actually a Read or Die site. Nothing much inside, though. And Rose of Versailles! *sigh* A superb series. I love Orpheus no Mado by the same author too. But her works tend to be very depressing towards the end, even for a sad-ending enthusiast like me. Too bad I don't have the mangas. I think Gramedia should republish those old titles *nudges Ira-neechan* [Yeah, I'm actually going through Anipike's R section. This is what Selene does on a Saturday night. How fun. *sarcasm*]

Hmm.. I wanna watch Now and Then, Here and There. I think I caught an episode at AXN one fine day at my aunt's house. Looks interesting. Oh man, I love Shoot! No bishounens (a lot of shounens, though), lousy shounen artwork, but brilliant story anyway. And I'm not even a football fan. I'm very much interested in Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori but it's a 20-odd volume series and I don't think it has ended so it means I'd be broke if I start to get into it.

Yay. 400 more hits and ZS will have 70,000 visitors. And to think I didn't even thought of reaching a 4-digit hit number when I first started out. Time for bed now *hums To Destination's Eden*

Oh great. I came back from my utterly despicable Biz Writing exam hoping to continue my Hana yori Dango rampage and that guy's computer isn't on. *grumbles* Urm, yeah... I've been watching HYD XD I actually don't like the exaggerated storyline nor the artwork (ESPECIALLY the artwork), but I'm still watching it faithfully anyway 0.o

Ah yes, the month of Ramadhan begins today. Happy fasting to all the Muslims!
Steph, actually my seniors told me the current food is MUCH better than past years'. It's okay, actually... it's just the same food again and again so after a couple of months I'd rather live on Coco Pops than eating those icky food.
Ira-neechan, sebetulnya sih... bunpou nya juga susahhh... *huaaahh* semuanya juga susah *HUAAAAAHHHH* ^_^x
As-chan maruk sekali, mau dua2nya? =P
Toshi, cheer up, ne? *gives Toshi a cup of Mango Milk Tea with Pearl*
Fel, I want to read that book too! You know, when I was REALLY small, I wanted to be a detective because detective stories were all I read at that time LOL
Nee-chan, you can keep Sasame. We don't want :P

I so llllloooooooovvvveeeeee Escaflowne soundtracks. *sigh*

Search queries :
"Hermaphrodite pics" I haven't got the slightest idea why people would search for this 0.o Here's what you can do : go to any patch of ground, dig up, and look for long and slimy looking things called WORMS.
"Pretear translation", "Pretear fanfic" Heh heh heh.. I want Pretear fanfics too....

Brain got kanji-overload @.@ A few days ago I was reading a Pscychology textbook in my friend's room and there's this interesting bit about kanji and kana and human's learning ability. The ability to learn kanji and kana is located in two different areas in the human brain. I think they're closely located to each other on the left brain. So when you're doing kanjis, your brain has to recall information from two different locations and I guess that's what make this thing BLOODY DIFFICULT! Geh. Anyway I'm not a person who can study for a long time so I'm tired and bored now. Brain is shutting down. *Windows sound effect*

knockin' on heaven's door on Friday, November 16, 2001, 03:26 p.m.

Yay, I feel better after watching TV and studying my Kanji at the same time. I am so below the JLPT 2 level >.< There is no way I am going to know 1000 kanji in 2 weeks' time. Nor 6000 vocabs. I'm not optimistic but I AM going to do my best. I'm not going to give up to this stupid JLPT 2 *kicks test booklet across the room*

Called my travel agent this afternoon. My plane tickets are confirmed. Leaving for Bangkok on Dec 16, coming back to S'pore on Dec 19, and going back to Jakarta on Dec 20 until Jan 6. I actually didn't want to go to Bangkok, but my parents insisted, because they SO like Bangkok, I don't know why, and because we haven't been going on a family vacation in a long time. This time my father is not so busy because Dec 16 is the Idul Fitri holiday and naturally all business in Indonesian will be closed as well.

I want to watch Escaflowne again. I've been listening to the soundtrack again and been reading lots of Esca fanfics at ff.net ^_^ Esca fanfics all have the same plot so I confused most of the stories. But anyway, I like V/H fluff. LOL. And I think Esca soundtracks is Yoko Kanno's best works ever. Me wuvvvvv. Arcadia is my all-time favourite because it's such a sad song with a nice counter-tenor soloist ;__;

As-chan! Oh fine, take Hayate and I'll take Ryuuhou XD
Ira-nee, makanan? Err.. tergantung selera lah. Makanan dorm mah nggak enak hahaha.
Yin, Pocky? *pika pika* I have this pickyness on buying made-in-Japan Pocky only despite its high prices because it tastes better than the made-in-Malaysia/Indonesia/Thailand. My friends think I'm a snob because of it LOL Until I give 'em a try ^_^v Too bad Almond Crush Pocky always makes me so broke >.<
I forgot to mention these lovely not-so-new layouts : sexy fox Kara's cool one, Tin-sama's cute sunshiny one, Rose's stylish blue one, Kee's OP one, Kiara's pretty one, and Toshi's neat green one.
I'm surprise Reins hasn't changed her layout again ......... ^_^x
You two, CHEER UP! *shoves Pocky sticks into their mouth*

BTW, the Colorgenics test seems to prove quite accurate for everyone. It was for me, too XD Here's mine :
You don't need anxiety and problems. All you really seek is a conflict free environment which can offer peace and mental security. You don't like the idea of being alone and whatever the reason.. at this time of your life you feel as if you are being "left out". What you really need is perhaps some "tender loving care"...
Being impulsive and irritable, your desires and needs are paramount. You do things with insufficient thought - with little regard to the consequences that may follow. As a consequence of this attitude, you may be experiencing stress and conflict.
At times one is burdened with more than ones fair share of problems .. and this would appear to be your situation at present. But you are adamant-you know what you wish to achieve- ...and by giving a little...and taking a little..you may well find that the realization of your dreams could well become a reality
Whatever you strive to do, something always seems to be holding you back. There is no subterfuge in you. You are a clear thinker and all you demand from life, in a relationship, is a partner whom you can trust and with whom you can, together, develop a foundation of trust based on understanding. You are your own person... and you demand freedom of thought ...to follow your own convictions. You have no interest in "two-timing" and all you seek is sincerity and "straight-dealing".
You wish to be left in peace... no more conflict and no more differences of opinion ... In fact you just don't want to be involved in any arguments of any shape or form ... All you want is for "them" to get on with it - and to leave you alone..

Bull's eye.

*chokes* I just noticed that Pretear's Tanaka's seiyuu is Koyasu Takehito 0.o He /does/ sound like Gravi's Sakano.....

Err.. really have nothing to blog about. I didn't do anyhing the whole day besides watching some anime, reading fanfics and err.. can't remember what else I did. Yeah, my life is just so boring during exam weeks *sigh* And all my friends are all studying day and night, it's just not fun. I've always wondered how people study from morning till night, taking breaks only to take their meals. The most I can do is study for 4 hours and even then I have to take a break every 30 minutes. Well, everyone has their own way of studying. *shrug*

I'm still bored and I don't want to do anything either. *stares into space again*

I like Pretear XD It's a funny anime and Himeno's actually alright, and well, Hayate's a bishie XD

Yesterday I was watching TV again at Arief's room while he was out studying. I suddenly caught the new J-drama whose title is "My Husband" (dunno what the Jap title is) on CityTV at 9 and after a while I realized it was the show I caught on TV one night in Tokyo last June XD Minli, Mui and I had a lot of fun figuring out what the storyline was since we barely understood anything. The guy was supposed to be this famous star in the drama and the next day when we were out scouring bookshops, we found a picture book of him using his character name in the drama. We went 0.o and wondered whether this guy is using his own name in the drama. Anyway, he's quite a bishie LOL I'll be catching it again tonight, I think.

Ira-neechan, nggak, gua tinggal di semacam dorm di kampus =D Makanya rame hehehe..
Fel, I bought a plain regular Logitech mouse XD
J has a pitas now! Yay! Who are all those peoplein the pics? 0.o
Nee-chan, huaahh! What happened?

Whoo. I want to catch Harry Potter on premiere day here, Nov 22. Every Harry Potter fan I've spoken to have mentioned that they're going to watch it on that day too. Coincidently, Nov 22 is the day of my last exam so YES, I'm going to watch Harry Potter on that day. {provided I can get the tickets ^_^;;} I think Emma Watson is pretty XD I've been imagining Hermione as some nerdish, awkward-looking girl and so now I know why Viktor Krum falls for her LOL

Time to watch some TV shows ^_^; BTW, I found TWO versions of Pocky Purin. One is totally cream-colored and the other one is cream-colored with marbly caramel-color at the end which tastes just like the caramel sauce. Whoo. Me wuvs Pocky.

Actually I checked my archive and found that TODAY is the exact one year anniversary of this pitas of mine. *throwns confettis and reads old entries*

Ah, I was going BBS last night but then my mood worsened ^^; Last night my neighbour upstairs were having a couple of his friends over at 2 AM, just as I was trying to fall asleep. I'm the type of person who don't fall asleep easily. It can take me 2 hours to fall asleep, on tiring days I can do that in 10 minutes, though. Anyway, my neighbour and his friends were being very noisy and everyone else had ceased their "noise activities" so I could hear them clearly and it irritated me so much. So I got up, walked up the stairs, and told them to shut up. In a sorta-polite way, I HOPE ^^; Anyway I always feel bad when I tell people to keep the voice level down when I'm trying to sleep. I've been doing this several times in the past, not just to the guy directly above me, but to his neighbours as well. My neighbours around me don't really mind noises when they're trying to sleep but they do mind it when they're trying to study and usually they sleep earlier than me. I guess I'm the only fussy one >.<

ANNE-NEE! Did you get yourself checked? Get well soon and take care of yourself!
Ira-nee, ganbarimaaaaasssssuuu!
As-chan, thanks buat emailnya. Nanti dibales deh.
Yin, what's WPJ?
Catherine, actually all the animes here are thanks to those people who spend hours d/ing off the IRC and THEN sharing them to lazy people like me. It's amazing how far they'd go. Even when they go away for the weekend or for the hols, they'd leave ther comps on so we can access it. They'd even buy more HDD to store all the goodies. AND sometimes they themselves don't even watch the things they download. They'd take requests too 0.o They're just too kind.
Steph, I think if you take Philo, you can only end up as a Philo teacher ^^ Or a writer, if you want to.
Charlene, awww.. get well soon, ne? *hugs*

What should I do todayyyyyyyyy....... *sigh* *bored look* I don't want to do anything.............. *sits in bed, dims the lights, and stares into space*

A lil piece of completely useless statistical information for you (after all this blog -is- called Standard Deviation!): I think it's approximately a year or so since I started blogging here on Pitas and I just made my 27th archive, which means on average I archived once every 2 weeks.

I slept for about 3 hours last night because I couldn't sleep. Pre-exam jitters hahaha.. I'm taking a nap soon, though. I'm feeling that I did quite well on my exam but my friends were talking about how screwed they were so I'm rather unsure of myself now ^_^;; But I know people always say that when it turns out later on that they do very well. All my stress and burden are over now, because these first two exams are my core Business modules, while the last 3 are either my cross-faculty modules or negligible ^^ The negligible one being this Sat's Business Writing. Oh yay, letter writing filled with fake words for 2 hours will SURELY make my day *sarcasm* My Philo class is not graded, only pass/fail and it's open book so I don't need to study for it. Too bad I got discouraged in the first few weeks, I should've chose graded instead because I'm quite confident I can get a good grade for that. The only thing I need to work on is my Plant Biotech, but it's not very difficult, either.

I had lunch at Suntec with my friends, then went to Sim Lim by myself to buy a mouse and speakers. It took me so long because the kiasu shopper I am, I feel the need to check the price in every single store. So here I am now, with a couple fine new speakers and a new mouse, mucho thanks to my friends who are always ready beside their phones to answer my queries on which brand to buy ^_^ (Just one of the advantages of having 40% of your friends in Computing =D Another one is having your computer serviced for FREE! Heh heh heh... They'll accompany you to shop and assemble your desktop too! And they have every software you need! Befriend them now! WARNING : They tend to get very stressed during certain practical exam periods which last for DAYS.)

I kinda... uh... forgot how to use a mouse ^_^ I'm having difficulty moving it around now. My hands are still aching... I've located the tight knots and have been massaging them regularly, but it'll take a while until they're completely knot-free. My neighbour said it's the "Carpal-something-something Syndrome" @.@ Err, guess I'll research on it soon. I'm thinking of being a passive Net user for a few days to relieve my hands from all the stress of typing long, boring entries ^^ Blogging is a habit though... Ah well, I'll try to cut it down a lil.

THE KNOCKER
Selene is a soon-to-be-20-years-old Chinese-Indonesian living in Singapore (feel free to enquire about the content of her birthday wish list and buy her something from the list). Studies Business Admin but hates every single class. Taking JLPT 2 this year and will probably fail. An avid anime and manga fan. Loves books. Loves shopping for books. Barely has time to read 'em, though. A lousy contralto with bad hearing and bad sight-reading. Yes, even the numerical notes.

THE PLANET
Current layout features Spike Siegel of Cowboy Bebop. Selene loves loves -loves- Cowboy Bebop, although she hates reading Descartes. (Selene has also developed a fixation on loud but dull, semi-warm colours lately @.@) Layout is inspired by and made while listening to Cowboy Bebop Movie OST songs, both the Maxi album and the Future Blue album, which she really really -really- recommends. 'Tis a sloppy layout, but Selene trust everyone will politely ignore that. Besides, it's a well-known fact that Selene is indeed a very sloppy person.
